DMM7510 ACAL; tsp.initialize

Hi, have several issues using DMM7510 My request is to write a generic DMM7510 driver for different count of DMMs (may be 3 pce up to 12 DMMs) connected via TSP-Link. The Master is connected to a linux workstation via LAN. 1. issue: We will use the DMM in different setups. How can I find out how man...

DMM7510 set date / time using TSP command

How to set absolute date and time is well described using web interface, scpi (:SYSTEM:TIME), display settings.
Unfortunatelly I couldn't find how to set date and time using TSP.
I also couldn't anything using Lua os.

What is the aquivalent TSP command for setting Date and Time?

Thanks in advance

Re: DMM7510 Power consumption

Hi Joseph,

thank you so much for this detailed answer! I appreciate it.
So I can calculate with 2/3 power of specsheet.

DMM7510 Power consumption

Hi, In Spec sheet Power consumtion for the 7510 is given with 60VA. In the past we had a lot of 3706 in use, these instruments are specified with 28W (without any additional cards) only. This is nearly half of 7510. Now I plan massive parallel testing with up to 24 Multimeter of type 7510 Instrument...

Re: get out of scanstate = scan.FAILED

It seems that the Firmware v1.53c for Series 3700A fixed the problem. - Thanks! Since we have them updated, I haven't seen the problem anymore. Will the fix also be available for the older 3706? Currently we have installed Rev 01.41c Can't find the update on the Firmware downloads page Thanks in adv...

get out of scanstate = scan.FAILED

Hello we use the 3706A without any plug-in cards (bought because of its 7 1/2 digits DMM). Cables for voltage measurements are connected via the analog backplane connector. Use of slot[1].pseudocard = 3721 allows us usage of the trigger model (described in reference manual). Communication is done vi...

3706 Autozero or using REL function

Hi, The 3706 specsheet in the DC voltage Ranges 100mV and 1V specifies the "DC-Note" Nr. 19. This DC Note recommends "When properly zeroed using REL function". Must the manual step extra be done to reach high accuracy or is it enough also to use ONLY the integrated autozero (dmm.autozero = dmm.ON)? ...

DMM Accuracy with Autozero OFF

Hello Experts, with the 2700 and the 3706 we want to make DC VOLTAGE measurements with AUTOZERO OFF to get faster measurements. The documentation does not specify measurement quality over time > 10min. It specifyes only for < 10min. So the questions is: with AUTOZERO OFF: assume that the instrument ...

Re: blocking command

Hello Vince and Team, thanks for your ideas! In our complete setup we have up to 12 DMMs to work in parallel. They are working a lot of hours to do the complete x of thousands measurements over night. Doing the calculations by 3706 I hope to get some time benefit because not all samples must be tran...

blocking command

Hello, need some help for generating a script for the 3706 immediately after a scan, the 3706 should do some calculations example: scan.execute() -- is waiting until a trigger signal arrives doCalculations() This works fine. The problem is, that in upfront I don't know if a further trigger will allo...

Re: 3706 using operation Status user register

Hi Norbert and Knowlegde Engineers, thanks for your reply. In the meantime I tried several ways to get the event of an completed function. This is working well using the opc() and the ESB Event Summary Bit of STB. But I haven't got an idea how to get the end of a scan. Using the scan.state() require...

3706 using operation Status user register

Hi, We are working on Linux workstation. So I can't use all the nice driver stuff. We want to control several DMMs in parallel using Registers. So the workstation will start the setup and the scan.background(buf) and then the workstatin will contol other DMMs. First question is how to get the event ...
