Re: 4200-SCS compitable with 7173 switch card?

The 7173-50 switch card is not supported by KTEI (4200-SCS) or Clarius (4200A-SCS) software's built-in 707x switch frame control. We have had customers control the 7173-50 card using a custom UTM, see example source code in the attached ZIP file. NOTE THIS DOES NOT work along with the built-in 707x ...

Re: How to drive the 2400 from N.I. CVI?

The KE2400 library functions in this driver are installed as an IVI driver; there is no KE2400.c file. Perhaps you are expecting a direct CVI driver model. We do provide a number of CVI examples which call the KE2400 IVI driver. On my system, the IVI driver is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\IVI F...

Re: How to drive the 2400 from N.I. CVI?

You can now download CVI drivers from the Tek.com website, see link below. To check for various drivers or examples, I suggest going to www.tek.com and clicking "Downloads" which is on the RIGHT CENTER edge of the page. Then search for Software and enter the instrument model #, in this case 2400. Th...

Re: 9174 HSM vs HSMI Matrix Card

9174-HSMI and 9174-HSM switch matrix cards are used in sensitive (low-current) S400 series systems. The 9174-HSMI card is an Instrument/Diag card. There would be only ONE of these in your switch frame, and it is the FIRST (from right to left) instrument switch matrix card. It has the system GND refe...

Re: Output connections

I did not mean to say that you should continue to use the adapters you currently have. While shorting the guard to outer shield may not damage the guard amplifier, it is a potentially dangerous practice, and one that Keithley does not support. As you noted earlier, because you could encounter a situ...

Re: Output connections

Where are the BNC/TRIAX adapters and the switch in your system? Is the switch a TRIAX switch (recommended)? I would recommend maintaining a TRIAX connection from the SMU, through switches and to the probes when using your SMU, and only transition to coax when connecting the noise measurement equipme...

Re: Endurance test of RRAM with Keithley 4200 SCS

The NVM_Examples Project in the _MEMORY group includes a ReRam Endurance test. This requires one 4225-PMU and two 4225-RPMs in your system. You can optionally use two 4200-SMUs for debugging purposes. The forming pulse for Set and the pulse for Reset use the same timing values. You can specify a ris...

Re: NVM pramSweep problems (want to add stop condition and failed to change current range)

Hi Ellaine, Did DSetI ever reach/exceed Itarget? Are they the same data type? Try setting another condition like some # of iterations (i) The break; statement should work as long as it is being executed. This is C language programming. You can add debugging code to your UTM by adding printf() statem...

Re: Open source software for the 2450?

Hello Vedran, Let me explain the context of Bill's statement about "open source". The scripts we provide with the 2450-EC "kit" are scripts which are loaded onto the instrument and execute on the instrument to perform various Electro-Chemistry tests much like a Potentiostat would. Our 2450-EC, 2460-...

Re: Endurance test of RRAM with Keithley 4200 SCS

We do have ReRam sweep and endurance test examples, but as you noted they require a 4225-PMU, two 4225-RPMs, and two 4200-SMUs in your system. We do not provide custom tests using only SMUs. Re: NVM pramSweep problems (want to add stop condition and failed to change current range)

Hi Ellaine, pramSweep() and other nvm library functions use a strategy based on all of the code in c:\s4200\sys\src\nvm\src, c:\s4200\kiuser\usrlib\nvm.h, and c:\s4200\kiuser\usrlib\nvm\src. Data structures and functions are all defined based on this strategy. Your question: "how does it determine t...

Re: NVM pramSweep problems (want to add stop condition and failed to change current range)

Hi Ellaine, It is possible. Which version of OS and KTEI system software do you have? (look in KCON at "KI System Configuration"->"KTE Interactive version"). The instructions referenced below work on a 4200-SCS with Windows 7 / KTEI v9.1 SP1 system. They should work on others, but I cannot test that...
