Re: 6220/2182A delta mode remote programming
Hey Tetsu, When switching from RS232 to GPIB, after I send the command SYST:COMM:SER:SEND "SYST:KEY 14", the REM turns off. I wait for a second and send the first *IDN? and then the REM turns on. From here, I do not get the error that you mentioned and I loose comunication to the system. The GTL com...

Re: 6220/2182A delta mode remote programming
Hello, I am attempting this exact same things. From GPIB -> RS232, the sequence of commands are working beautifully. But, from RS232 -> GPIB, I cannot escape from the menu. I tried the described steps with and without sending *IDN? and tried a "gtl" (GO TO LOCAL) or "ibsre" (REM). I am reconnecting,...

How many readings are in buffer?
Hello,
I was wondering if there is an SCPI command that querys the question "how many reading are currently in buffer?" I know for the 6221 there is :TRAC:POIN:ACT? but is there something similar for the 2182A?
Thank you,
Dan

6221 Continuous Delta Buffer Issue
In the 6221/2182A configuration, I have it set so that the 6221 will run infinitely with buffer size of 20. The reason for this is because I want to flush the buffer after every 20 readings while the 6221 runs infinitely. This issue here is buffering. After the 1st iteration of filling up the buffer...

Yes,
I realized that this setup must be enabled, I have compensated for this thank you.

6221/2182A Delta Mode via GPIB rather than RS232
Hello, I have the described system and I am trying to perform Delta mode with the 2 instruments. The example (Delta Meas. Example.vi) given in the drivers use an RS232 connection. In my network, I would prefer using GPIB. It seems like this vi uses a master configuration and the 6221 controls the 21...

Interlock Question - 6221/2182A Delta mode
Hello, I am using the mentioned system in LabVIEW with the Delta Meas Example.vi... I am just using a 100mOhm resister as a DUT. I tried running the vi and was getting 402 Error (Interlock blocking output). Reading up by interlock, it sounds like it is just a switch that enables/disables the output....

Re: Inifinite Delta Mode
Hey Kenneth! Oh my, it's close. What is occuring now is after each iteration the measurements are inverting. I believe the reason for this is because every even trigger the current is negative (delta mode). Once the number of pairs is done, the current at that given time is negative. When the iterat...

Re: Inifinite Delta Mode
Hello Kenneth, The maximum trigger count on the 2400 is 2500. I try to input that SCPI command (:TRIG:COUNT INF) and get "Error -222 parameter out of range." The 2182A can have infinite trigger count but I need an infinite trigger count of the 2400 to be able to have reversing polarity current to go...

Inifinite Delta Mode
Hello, Is there a possible SCPI command or method to make the Delta mode sourcing current of the 2400 to be infinitely long? Essentially reversing current untill I tell it to stop? Says in the manual that the max TRIG:COUN 2500 which is 1250 pairs, which is not suffificient for my project. Doing thi...

Re: Delta and DFIL Question
Hello Dale, again The scaled of resistances I expect to measure are in the 100nOhms --> uOhms. Does the 2182A/2400 combo work for such results? In a couple of days the 6221 should be arriving and I can see the thermal effect results in the 2182A/6221 combo. I thought delta mode took care of these th...

Delta and DFIL Question
Hello, I have a 2182A nanovoltmeter along with a 2400 source meter performing delta measurements. I basically used the 2182Delta_LV6.vi on this website with an added digital filter (0.01% window with 100 readings). I believe that the digital filter controls how many samples per direction of current ...

Re: 2182A Channel 2 microVoltage Measuring
Hello Dale, I ran the program I made source 0.5V with the 2400. The results are on the left side of the attached image. I think there is something wrong with the Keithley 2182 Buffer Read.vi. I went into the subVI and ran JUST the read buffer VI, and it spat out the correct values in the new buffer,...

Re: 2182A Channel 2 microVoltage Measuring
Hey Dale!
I am not measuring with the 2400, I am only sourcing it at 10uV so I can test CH2 of my 2182A. Attached is the 2010 version (I hope I converted it correctly) with my VI and the keithely drivers.
Thank you so much,
Danny

2182A Channel 2 microVoltage Measuring
Hello, First off I would like to say thanks for the people that were helping me out earlier, means a lot that I have some guidance, I have definitely learned a lot. I am off to another portion of my project. I need to perform voltage measureing at a 10 uV region using the 2182A's 2nd Channel. I made...

Re: Delta Mode - Unable to run NPLC 1 or 5
I figured out the difference,
Adding the command
:SYST:FAZ 0
for some reason screws it up, if someone cares to explain it would be helpful.
I added it because it says it allows double Delta speed measurements in the manual.

Delta Mode - Unable to run NPLC 1 or 5
Hello, I am running 2400 sourcemeter and 2182a nanovoltmeter into LabVIEW via Delta Mode.. I am using the Kiethley given example 2182Delta_LV6.vi and added custom varialbes for the user as well as a digital filter. For some reason I am unable to run :SENS:VOLT:NPLC 1 or :SENS:VOLT:NPLC 5... In the u...

Re: 2182A Reading Measurements Fast Query
Hey Dale, Thanks for clearing it up for me, I read up on digital filtering and I am going to try and implement it. I have an issue though. When declaring the NPCL for 2182A the manual says to keep it at 1 or 5 for Delta mode. I was playing around and put it to 0.1 and it is working just fine, but wh...
