Re: How to configure Keithley 2425 to sink current

Hi wcabaluna,

The "Remote Sweep Operation" section in chapter 10 of the 2400 User's Manual contains many programming examples on setting up sweeps. This section begins on page 10-19, or page 190 of the pdf.

The User's Manual can be found here: http://www.keithley.com/support/data?asset=56890.

Re: pulse sweep 2430

Hi Banjopicks, Try replacing the ":READ?" string you send with an ":INIT". Add a small delay and then send a "TRAC:DATA?" command. Also, add the following commands before sending the ":INIT" :TRAC:FEED:CONT NEV :TRAC:CLE :TRAC:POIN count :TRAC:FEED:CONT NEXT These commands will set up your data buff...

Re: Keithley MN 2701 High Speed Data

Hi jeremy.legasse, Which switch card are you using? You want to change the NPLC (rate option in ExceLINX) to .01 or less; disable autozero and autoranging; set the reading count to something large, like 2000 or so to start with. You will play with the delay setting to control the data rate if you're...

Re: 6517A as an AC Voltage Source - Possible?

Hi marrinerm, The 2400 is capable of sourcing through approximately 2000 points per second. You can figure that 20 points per cycle is adequate to approximate a sine wave so you can get about 100 Hz sinusoid from 2400. The 2600 is capable of sweeping through approximately 20000 points per second. Th...

Re: Stacking Two 2400 SMU in Series

Hi csoon1, Yes, the safest way is to connect the Lo's of the instruments together and ground that terminal. You then source max voltage on both instruments, but opposite polarity. The difference between the Hi's of the two SMU's will be 1300 V. This is what's called a back-to-back series configurati...

Re: 6221/2182A delta mode -- repeating filter

Hi magnet,

Have you tried using a large digital filter (100 counts, repeating) with an NPLC setting greater at 1 or greater?

Make sure to check the "Enable Digital Filter" box or feed a true value boolean into the "Set 2182A Measurement Parameters" VI.

Re: 6517A as an AC Voltage Source - Possible?

Hi marrinerm,

The 6517A is not capable of what you require. You could try continuously changing the output in steps to approximate a sine-wave via a program run on a PC but you would be limited to 1 or 2 Hz at the very most.

Re: Model 3390 pulse phase adjustment

Hi ClaudiuStan, The pulse-mode phase is hardware limited. As for a potential solution, you may be able to use a sine-wave into a comparator (op-amp with no feedback) and adjust the amplitude to affect the duty cycle of the comparator output. The sine wave phase can be adjusted compared to a referenc...

Hi amoayeri,

I'm not aware of any supplier of custom test fixtures. You may have to build your own. The important thing is to make sure the four probes are equidistant from one to the next.

Re: Save or Export SMU Data to CSV or .txt, TSP Express

Hi Patrick G, Are you trying to save to a file on a PC from the instrument? The 2600 cannot access the file structure of a host PC. You can save data to a USB drive that's plugged into the 2600 using the file i/o commands: io.close() io.flush() io.input() io.open() io.output() io.read() io.type() io...

Hi Filooo, Are you using a 2602, 2602A, or a 2602B? We do have LabVIEW drivers for all three instruments. You will have to set up a voltage list sweep and input the voltage points comprising your waveform. The number of points depends on how closely you want the output to linearly ramp. The timing w...

Hi bmiller, How long do you have when you turn off the output before starting another sweep? You can use contact check with the output off but there are some conditions that need to be met: 1. The output off mode is NOT High-Z. 2. If the output off mode is normal and the output off function is DCV t...
