command for setting the range of waveform amplitude

Hello,

On the 6221 manual, I could not find the command for setting the range of waveform amplitude.
How can I select a range for the waveform amplitude remotely? Have to manually do this?

PS: the common range command ":SOUR:CURR:RANG 2E-6" does not work on waveform.

Thanks,
WT

How to remote set "Ohms source readback"

In the 2400 User manual P4-11, there is the description on " Ohms source readback selection" with front panel operation. However, I cannot find how to remote setting "Ohms source readback". Any solution? Thanks. PS: the manual P4-11 description-- Ohms source readback selection Use the following proc...

Re: question on 6221 Delta Ohms reading

See the attached figure from the manual. The 2182A A reading could be negative at I-high, and B reading could be positive at I-Low, if you have the 4 contacts on a resistance in the order of I- V+ V- I+. So with this Delta algorithm, the Delta voltage reading could be negative. Delta.PNG As for Delt...

Re: question on 6221 Delta Ohms reading

Do you mean even if the Delta measurement unit is Volt, it gives always positive reading?
If so, that will be a pity. Because, if one has the connection order of I+ V- V+ I-, one would not get the correct signal of this order.

question on 6221 Delta Ohms reading

I just found a problem when I measured Hall resistance. With Delta Ohms reading, 6221(together with 2182A) always gives positive values (Ohms). As you know, Hall resistance should be negative on reversing magnetic field. Does 6221 automatically make the absolute values when Delta measurement unit is...

I cleaned the clips, but still got the shots time by time.

Re: 2182A readings have many shots and large fluctuations

What is the " DeoxIT solution"? I don't understand. I will try the cleaning with a sand paper.

Yes I am using a clean clamp for shorting the red and black spade lugs.

2182A readings have many shots and large fluctuations

I have 2182A input cable's 2 blades (black and red) shorted. With default settings (channel 1, slow rate, filter on), the readings I got were following, showing many shots and large fluctuations. I don't know where these shots came from since the input is shorted with Keithley's cable. How can I eli...

Re: 416 error "step size too small"

It seems must be in the order of "START STOP STEP DELT DELAY ". *RST :SOUR:DCON:STAR 0.000000000 :SOUR:DCON:STOP 0.010000000 :SOUR:DCON:STEP 0.000100000 :SOUR:DCON:DELT 0.000020000 :SOUR:DCON:DEL 0.050000000 otherwise get error 416: *RST :SOUR:DCON:STAR 0.000000000 :SOUR:DCON:STEP 0.000100000 :SOUR:...

416 error "step size too small"

With Labview, I am following this order to send command to 6221 for differential conductance setting: *RST SOUR:DCON:STAR 0 SOUR:DCON:STEP 10e-6 SOUR:DCON:STOP 50e-6 SOUR:DCON:DELT 20e-6 SOUR:DCON:DEL 1e-3 But it always gets error "step size too small". Maybe I didn't state my question clearly.
My question is: for remote control during Delta Arm status, can I change the current without exiting Delt mode ?

rates changed to slow when read voltage through K6221 RS232

set 2182A rates to Medium first, then I read a measurement through command "SYST:COMM:SER:SEND MEASURE:VOLT:DC?", the rates is automatically changed to slow, why? 2182A is connected to 6221 through RS232, 6221 is GPIB connected to PC. How can 2182A+6621 work with 7001(7168) through trigger

I would like to realize resistance measurment with 2182A+6621 +7001(7168). In the 6221 manual, there is an instruction how to connect 6621 with 2182A to perform Delta measurements. But I cannot find any instructions how to connect 7001 with 2182A and 6221 to fullfil multichannels resistance measurme...
