Look in the Reference Manual for the SEGARB section. The are Interactive Test Modules available to use SEGARB.

Re: 2602B not executing commands and randomly working on REM
Problem is solved. When connecting to TSB without instrument being on REM, connection is established immediately. Manual seems outdated, because referring to it, instrument needs to be set on REM before connecting to computer. I have never had the need to do that with any 26XXB instrument. The REM ...

Re: KCON error when connecting RPM1 or RPM2 to PMU CARD
For each channel, the center conductor is HI and the shield is LO. The LO is the return path for each channel. The SMA to SSMC cable breaks out the LO and feeds it to the center conductor of the SSMC cable with the black wire. You can verify this with a DMM. If you are requiring only one two-wire co...

Re: 4200SCS couldnt boot and beeping sound coming from SMU card
Are there any messages from the motherboard ROM? Specifically, is there an ACRONIS message to hit a function key?

Re: Check if SMU is Busy Sweeping
From the Reference Manual page 3-30
To start a sweep, use the smuX.trigger.initiate() function. Sweeps are overlapped
operations, so you can use the waitcomplete() function as a way to suspend further operation
until the sweep is complete.

Re: IV curve of reference solar cell
I would start by testing the solar cell with a DMM for 1. Open circuit voltage under full sunlight 2. Short circuit current under full sunlight Use the DMM INPUT HI and INPUT LO for the open circuit voltage test. Use the DMM AMPS input and INPUT LO for the short circuit current test. Perform those t...

Re: Keithley 220 Voltage limit?
Maybe you are shorting and/or loading the GUARD? The datasheet says that total (output + guard) current cannot exceed 105mA. Make sure that you use an adapter that drops guard and does not short guard to LO/SHIELD. You must use an appropriate triax adapter at the rear of the instrument. Using a BNC ...

Re: 6517B+VSource with a text fixture WITHOUT guard electrode. How?
Page 3-4 and 3-5 of the 6517B Reference Manual have what you need to know. You must make sure that the CONFIGURE V-SOURCE feature is configured so that V-SOURCE LO is connected to AMMETER LO internally. Test this configuration using a resistor and some safe low voltage below 40V. Page_3-4.jpg Page_3...

Yes. KCON must discover all of the hardware you want to use and verify that it is connected and working properly.

Re: 2602B not executing commands and randomly working on REM
My guess is that this is a Windows USB driver issue. In our rack and stack systems with multiple 26xxB instruments, we use GPIB to the master and LAN cables from the master to all of the slaves. It costs more to communicate this way. USB cables are inexpensive. There is a reason that systems that ha...

Get in touch with your local Tektronix account manager. He/she can get you a loaner 2450 for two weeks and that should allow you sufficient time to characterize your battery.

Re: KCON error when connecting RPM1 or RPM2 to PMU CARD
The cure for this problem in KCON is to run the utility "Update RMPs and Preamps". Then save. Then run the utility "Validate configuration". The failure should go away and you see a successful validation.

Re: Configuration error 4200-SCS
You need a Keithley applications engineer to visit and run a field upgrade application to set your KCON.
I have had to do this at two customer sites over the period of a few years. Not often but it does come up.

I would try using TSP Express to create the pulse and have a look with the oscilloscope. Leave the DUT unconnected to see the instrument response open circuit.

Re: Issues faced in measure voltage/source current mode when range is changed
If your circuit is inductive, or behaves like an inductor, a step in current will cause a voltage spike, V = L * di / dt.
The range change can be thought of as a step in current. The derivative of a step is an impulse. The impulse can be high enough to trigger the voltage compliance detection.

Re: Issues faced in measure voltage/source current mode when range is changed
Try increasing the voltage compliance to see if that cures the problem. The range change behavior may contribute to the compliance issue.

Re: Issues faced in measure voltage/source current mode when range is changed
The analog behavior during a range change is not continuous. If you consider how the instrument has to make a range change, it is apparent why. There is a feedback resistor in an op amp circuit that has to be changed from one value to another value. This requires opening and closing relays that perf...

Below is an answer from one of our factory apps engineers: Not in KickStart. KickStart caps the sample count due to data handling issues. For now, ...

I have to check the R_T signal for a long peroid of time, let say 2-3 day. So, how long or how many data point that i can store in the 2450 smu memory? Can I store the data directly to USB during measured the resistance or other signal? From the 2450 Reference Manual page 3-13 ---------------------...
