Re: Hall Effect Wiring

Just one more question,

The Hall mobility I'm trying to measure is very small ( < 50 cm^2/Vsec). Is this set up suggested when trying to measure on this scale? Or does it mostly depend on how well we can shield and reduce noise effecting the measurements.

Thank you

Re: Hall Effect Wiring

I watched the video, but it does not tell you the wiring for the ground cable. also, on a different note, I've been able to get semi-repeatable results for resistivity but my Hall mobility is pretty bad. Would there be any reason why my van der Pauw voltages would differ significantly from my hall v...

Re: 2182a Voltmeter in Hall effect system

From my understanding, the 7065 Card is connected to Both the current source and the voltmeter. Can you clarify cross points? All i have is the output of the current source to the input of the card, and the 2182a connected to the hi/low inpedence leads (screw terminals) on the back of the card. I am...

Hall Effect Wiring

I have the 7001 switch with Hall effect Card 7065 2182A nano voltmeter 6220 current source 6485 -picoammeter. The RS 232 and trigger link are both connected in between the volt meter and the current source. I'm Attaching a - of how i wired it. I have the 2660 output to the 7065 imput, the 7065 outpu...

Re: 2182a Voltmeter in Hall effect system

I connected channel 1 HI to channel 1 Lo in the open circuit and the swing dropped dramatically. Thanks for the explanation However, when i connected it to a DUT (the 7065 Hall effect card) i got swings of 108mV to 75mV to 0.008mV in repetition. The only reason i think this matters is because this i...

2182a Voltmeter in Hall effect system

I was trying to trouble shoot my Hall effect set up involving the 2182a voltmeter. When turning on the machine it already produces a voltage reading which fluctuates from .0008 to .07mV to .9V reading off around 3 different readings. It sometimes also starts climbing from a small voltage but works i...

Initial Test Configurations for low-high resistivity

Hello, I recently got a set of: 7001 switch with Hall effect Card 7065 2182A nano voltmeter 6220 current source 6485 - With the devices came a full computer program for running Hall effect measurements and Van der Pauw resistivity. Are there any specific initial hardware configurations needed to run...
