I'm not following completely. You may have read this already, but does apply to your situation: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019O86SAE&l=en-US Ultimately, the string of characters that is sent to the 2260B will need the dot as decimal separator. Re: 2636B: Measuring current without sourcing DUT

It is possible. Keep in mind, the SMU is always forcing something and limiting the opposite parameter. If forcing voltage, it limits current. To have the SMU behave like an AMP meter, insert it into your circuit using the force HI and force LO. Config it to force 0V and set current limit higher than...

Re: low current measurement in low voltage environment

The 2182A is a specialty meter targeting nanovolt resolution measurements. It offers a 10mV range with 1nV resolution. The one year specs on this range indicate you could measure 1uV with a 40nV uncertainty. It is provided with a highly engineered cable to minimize thermal EMFs. It terminates in cop...

Re: Keithley 2612: Error code -314 at startup sequence

There are ultra caps for the memory such as user defined setups.

Try saving a user defined setup to one of the locations.

If the ultra caps are no longer charging, the nvmemory content is vulnerable.
To get rid of error, the parts need replacing.

Re: Controlling the 3706A switch via LAN port with C# (x64)

If you prefer to have x64 bit, I’d suggest to program at the VISA API level and use the write() and read() to interact with the 3706A. Rather than resource like GPIB0::26::INSTR, the LAN based will be TCPIP::ip_addr::INSTR. IVI and VISA will use these resource descriptors. Will you be sourcing or me...

Re: low current measurement in low voltage environment

The 200mV measure range of 2400 has an allowable offset error of 300uV. It can report small changes still as the magnitude drops below this offset error threshold value spec, but absolute accuracy and repeatability is called into question below 300uV. You need a better voltage measuring tool. How sm...

The blue highlight and yellow text indicate an issue for the rows where it occurs.
The code means the auto balance bridge on CVU LO side could not achieve balance.
Are these measurements performed on wafer?

Re: breakdown voltage on a Transient Voltage Suppressor

If you have a dual channel, 200V SourceMeter model such as the 2612B, you can wire the channels in series to effectively have a 400V SMU. Revision D of the 2600B has a section on combining SMU channels. https://www.tek.com/keithley-source-measure-units/smu-2600b-series-sourcemeter-manual-8 Do you wa...

Probably has something to do with output off mode, eg, what happens when SMU blue light is off. Is this the condition underwhich you see the UUT loading?

Is the 3% accuracy of the CT-1 ok, if you could read the 5mV/mA signal with better vertical resolution?

Contact your local account person and ask about MSO64 and default power application capability. If you allow scope to measure V and I, we can give you the power info.

Re: 2602B, minimum setting and measure time

Many factors will influence speed vs data quality trade offs. There will be some overhead to set the SMU into force current mode, but that is one time setup penalty. Selection of source range can require a few msec. Look at your error budget and see if 1mA range is sufficient for first three steps. ...

Is the power supply an isolated power supply?

Shielding can reduce radiated power line noise.

If 60Hz is coupled into the DC signal, the 1MHz digitizer on DMM6500 will show it to you.

Re: Step-like behaviour of 6221 DC sweep for high ranges

Interesting observations. Even so, the type of information you request is not something we have. Surely the 2182A could play a role, or even the DUT itself. Humidity and temperature will cause systemic shift too. You are right to consider the sourcing accuracy specs for the 6221 and consider how tha...

Hi smith1987, Sounds like you are asking for someone to write a new version of the program for you. That would require a lot more understanding of the requirements and is typically performed by equipment owner. Sounds like you need to just modify which switch channels are closed. Look at the “:rout:...

Re: Step-like behaviour of 6221 DC sweep for high ranges

So you are using fixed source range based upon the max value that will be sourced? If you have appx 41 steps in a sweep between 0 and some full scale value, then for the higher source ranges and the values closer to zero, you will of course have more sourcing error relative to allowing for change of...

Offending line: smu.measure.i(smu.mybuf) Change to: smu.measure.i(mybuf) The default buffers are referenced by their respective SMU channel (smuX.nvbuffer1). You can send a format command for which data elements should be returned in response to the ":READ?" command. Default is: :FORM:ELEM VOLT,CURR,RES,TIME,STAT If one of the parameters is not measured, e.g. resistance in your case, but is still in the format specifier for return, the instrument will re...
