High resistance Hall effect

Dear all,

I have an element of high resistance (about 1G Ohm). I would like to perform a hall measurement on this element, but i do not know which is the most appropriate tool. I have a 6517B but i think this is not the good one.

Could anyone give me some advise?

Thanks

2400-c Compliance problem

I have create a basic VI for setting some Voltage with a compliance level of 1A (my current is about 2 mA). When i am setting the voltage trough the program it is always blinking the compliance. However if i move to local and i turn the out put on manually ( with out any modification on the voltage ...

6221 Source

Hi,

In my application, i need to minimize the time that the current flows. Is it ok if I use the command :CURR 0 or shall I better introduce some low current value. My question is regarding to avoid any possible spike whenever the system goes on.

Thanks

Re: Offset on 2520

Does Keithley have any tool capable of producing pulses of current in the submicrosecond scale and with an offset in the micro Ampere scale?

Thanks.

Offset on 2520

Hi, I am testing the model 2520 with an 200 Ohm resistance. I have used regular BNC cables with crocodile termination. I have connected the resistance to the Hi and Lo source of current pulses. I have used another BNC cable to measure the drop of voltage in the resistance in a regular Oscilloscope. ...

Re: Pulse generator.

I have a couple of questions more. I could not find in the 2520 manual the minimum time between two voltage measurements, Could you tell me this parameter? Would it be possible with the 2520 take, for instance 20 voltage measurements and trigger right after the measurement 10 a pulse? or define 20 v...

Re: Pulse generator.

Thanks for the answer. I just need to apply individual pulse of current. In my particular case the raising time is quite important. Considering the specifications it seems the proper tool for my application. I just have another question. I have work with different Keithley instrument. For instance, ...

Pulse generator.

Hi, I did not find the proper place to write this question. I need to produce a pulse of current in the range of micro second (Submicrosecond would be perfect), with rising time in the range of nanosecond. My load resistance is about 200 ohms. The current should be in the range of 100mA. Do you have...

Re: 6221 Source DELTA mode problem

Hi, I came with the following solution: *RST SOUR:CURR 5e-5 SOUR:SWE:SPAC LIST SOUR:SWE:RANG AUTO SOUR:LIST:CURR 0,1e-1,0 SOUR:LIST:DEL 5,1e-1,1 SOUR:LIST:COMP 1,100,4 SOUR:SWE:COUN 1 SOUR:SWE:CAB OFF SOUR:SWE:ARM INIT It is a custom sweep with 3 steps 0, 100mA and 0. I have given the delay time of ...

6221 Source DELTA mode problem

Hello,

I am trying to set a delta mode on the keithley 6221 (I am NOT using the 2812A). However, I just press the button of DELTA after configuration and it displays the error -241 “Hardware missing”. Is it possible to use the 6221 to apply pulses without using the 2812.

Thanks

Re: keithley 2182A: Continues dc measurement

Hello, I have followed the indications and I have add the command “INIT”. However I do not get any response from the device. I have moved to the VIs provided by Keithley but I could not make it work. I did proceed as follow: Frame1: Measurement mode VI (Selected chanel 1) DCV config VI (default valu...

Re: keithley 2182A: Continues dc measurement

Shall I introduce a delay between :INIT and :TRACE:DATA?. to let some time to the 2182A to take the measurements?

Thanks

keithley 2182A: Continues dc measurement

Hi, Is it possible to program the 2182A to perform a number of DC measurements ( let say 20) and then recover the measurements from the buffer. I would like to configure the machine for doing the measurements and later recover them instead of doing individual measurement/reading. In the manual is wr...
