Hi, We have a Keithley 2440 source meter. If the unit is on and warmed up, but the leads are off (the unit is idle and is not applying power or sensing), how long can the unit be left on without needing to worry about a loss of accuracy or incurring wear. The material should be starting on the order of magnitude of 100 Mega ohm*cm or slightly less, and dropping to something on the order of 0.001 to 0.0001 ohm*cm. It is this transition that I am hoping to study.
