Digital I/O ground potential

I have looked through the manuals and am unable to find an answer for this.

Are the ground pins of the digital I/O port (the DB-25) of the 2651a at the same potential or different potential from the negative (LO) output pin?

Re: Battery Characterization

Thanks Andrea!

That was the missing step. Automating that change when going from charging to discharging shouldn't be very difficult at all.

Re: Battery Characterization

No, I did not develop a TSP script, but currently I am just trying to do it with the front panel controls (the LabView will come later). So here are my settings for "charging": Battery = 3-cell LiIon Source Voltage = +12.6V Limit Current = 3.5A 4-wire Hi-Z off mode (to keep battery from draining) Un...

Battery Characterization

Hello, I am trying to develop a battery characterization program using a 2651a and LabView. I read through Application Note 3221 as kind of a baseline and have gone forward with some programming and testing based on that paper. I am a bit confused though. During charging, I set the source to above t...

Constant Resistance from SMU

I was curious if anyone had written a control loop code (in either Lua or LabView) that would allow the SMU (I specifically am using a 2651a but any 2600 series would do) to operate as a constant resistance load. I have tried a couple things but ended up burning up a DUT when the SMU sourced way too...

Re: LabView and 2651a handshaking

Currently I have a case structure that contains is triggered by a boolean button. Fed into the case structure is the output of the initialize SMU vi and on the output of the case structure is close SMU vi. Inside the true is the abort smu vi and inside the false case is basically the code provided a...

Re: LabView and 2651a handshaking

Thank you Andrea, that code helped lead me in the right direction. My next problem, is that this SMU will be put into a production environment where it will need to have some safety features. I am having difficulty figuring out how to send the unit an "abort" call (with a simple front panel button) ...

LabView and 2651a handshaking

I have altered the Lua voltage sweep code to perform a test on a my DUT. The code runs the sweep and then uses the print(*some_variable*) to display results of the test and also saves the read buffers. All this works beautifully through TSP Express or TSB Embedded. Since this 2651a unit will be used...
