Re: Error code and read with Labview

I would look at the “Execution error messages” that are listed in the programmer’s manual. Possible you can incorporate those detected errors in you code via the SESR register.

You may need some type of server between the scope and printer. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_Ma ... r_Protocol.

Re: OpenChoice Desktop fails for TekVISA

Per chance do you have another visa installed (like NI Visa)? If so, suggest removing both visas s/w packages as well as OpenChoice Desktop. Then re-install OpenChoice Desktop, which should also install Tek visa. Check that you can now use OpenChoice Desktop. If working OK, then install the other vi...

Re: TDS 2024C Programmer Manual

You can download manuals from Tek.com by going to the "Downloads" icon on the right side of the web page. Select the download type as "manuals", enter in your instrument model number and then press "search". At the search results use the filter on the left to filter for the manual type you are looki...

Re: TDS2000 : What is command for save/recall setup between PC and scope like as openchoice?

You would have to send the full command string back to the scope. What may be easier is a utility program written by one of our AE's. You can can find more information about it at: viewtopic.php?f=571&t=140451.

Re: TDS2000 : What is command for save/recall setup between PC and scope like as openchoice?

You can try using the SET? (Query Only) command. It returns most oscilloscope settings. You can send these responses back to the oscilloscope to return the oscilloscope to the state it was in when you sent SET?. This query is identical to the *LRN? query.

Re: Cannot set trigger level from matlab command. Everything else works fine

You cannot set a specific trigger value. In the programmers manual it says "The trigger Sets the A trigger level automatically to 50% of the range of the minimum and maximum values of the trigger input signal. The query returns current A trigger parameters. The trigger level is the voltage threshold...

Re: TDS2024B vertical position isn't zero

On my instrument going from 250us/div to 100us/div does show a bit more in noise, but that looks to excessive. It may be a h/w issue in the instrument vertical input. A calibration may resolve it. If not, then it is a h/w related issue and would need repair.

Re: TDS2024B vertical position isn't zero

When you run the "self calibration" has the scope been warmed up for 20 minutes or more? If yes, and it fails the self calibration, it most likely needs a complete instrument calibration to restore correct operation. If you would like to have your unit calibrated, you can submit a request for servic...

Re: Multitasking and query/update sync on MDO3000

I would suggest setting your scope up for “single shot” acquisition. This will allow your trigger to capture the event at the trigger point. Then poll on the Acquisition state until the scope says it is done acquiring. When the acquisition state is done, you can pull the waveform data to your PC. Wh...

Re: DPO7054 Calibration

Removal and re-installation of the hard drive or DDR memory should not affect instrument calibration. I would suggest performing a SPC (signal path compensation) and run instruments diagnostics prior to doing so. If you open up the instrument, you should perform an instrument performance verificatio...

Re: TDP1000 can't autozero with DPO5204B in the probe's manual mode

This appears to be a bug with the “auto zero” function when operating the probe in the “Manual” range. It has been reported to our s/w team.

If it is not powering up completely, it will need to be returned to a Tektronix service location to repair.

Re: DPO7104 oscilloscope not triggering

When was SPC last ran on this instrument?

Also, in the performance verification manual for Trigger level or threshold accuracy, which is listed as "typical" is: ± [(2% | deflection | ) + (0.7 divisions × volts/division) + offset accuracy].

Re: AFG3102 failed Firmware Update

Hi Bodo,

In your initial post you indicated that the instrument will no longer stars up and just beeps, yet the screen image in your recent post shows it powered up. If it is not starting up and is beeping, the only method to correct is return to a service center.

Re: AFG3102 failed Firmware Update

Hi Bodo, Not sure why the f/w update failed on your instrument. It could be due to several things (defective hardware, corrupted f/w download file, or other). Since it does not fully power up, it will have to be returned to a Tektronix service center to repair.

Re: dBm/MHz measurements

The calculation should be based on the measured power/rbw, and then convert to the total power. The number of points are for the display only.

Channel power and ACPR display will give the avg power. Using marker with power measurements is also a way.
