Re: TLA5203B Serial Decode

The logic analyzer does not support serial bus directly. There may be a support package would work up to 16 bit word if it is a synchronous serial bus. If it is an asynchronous serial bus, there is no support at all.

Re: Internal Error while running TLA application in TLA5202B

Hi Mayank Sinha,

The log file you sent to our tech support email indicates you are running the TLA software v5.7. Please update the TLA software to the latest version v6.1.127 athttp://www.tek.com/tla5201-software-0 and see if that help to resolve the issue.

Re: automate TLA5204

The programmatic control for the TLA product is using TPI.NET. The TPI.NET technical reference is distributed along with the latest TLA software v6.1.127 at http://www.tek.com/tla5201-software-0. The download includes the TPI.NET technical reference and couple examples in C#, VB.NET or VC++.

Re: Protocol analysis with TLA6402

Currently we don't have the serial bus trigger and decode feature on the TLA640x series. There is a 3rd party partner that may offer the support. Without the support package, the TLA640x does not trigger and decode for the serial bus. The TLA product is designed for parallel bus decode. Some of the ...

Re: I2C Decode with TLA6401

The TLA6401 does not decode serial bus directly. There is no existing SPI bus decode support package for the TLA6401. You can't use it to decode the I2C bus.

You may consider one of the DPO/MSO2000B series with the DPO2EMBD or MDO3000 series with MDO3EMBD for I2C bus trigger or decode feature.

Re: Modules not detected using TLA server

1) There is merging modules rules listed in the installation manual at http://www.tek.com/tla7ab4-manual/tla700-series-installation-manual on the PDF page number 25. 2) If the firmware loader is not able to detect the module(s) in the mainframe, there is hardware issue involved. To merge the module,...

Re: Modules not detected using TLA server

There is not enough information to troubleshoot your issue. 1) What module(s) are you using? 2) What is the current firmware version installed on the module? 3) What is the TLA software version? 4) Have you try installing the merged system on a different slots? There is totally 6 slots in the TLA701...

Re: Using the search option in TLA family V6

The Logic Analyzer is designed for parallel bus decode. It compares the bus value in a single clock period. Since you have a serial data bus (single bit output), you will not able to look up the specific pattern in the serial bus. You could try to use the trigger state machine to check each state an...

There is some C# examples distributed along with the TPI.NET. If you download the latest TLA software, it is included in it. Otherwise, you could download the older version TPI.NET at http://www.tek.com/tla714-manual/tpinet-instructions. It is included as the attachments for the PDF.

Re: Capturing the Signal on TLA6401

1) There is repetitive capture mode in the TLA software. It is under "System" -> "Repetitive". It allows the user to save the data off to a file for each run. Go to "System" -> "Repetitive Properties" to setup the location to save the data file. In the trigger state machine, you could select to trig...

Re: ARB Express will not write to AFG1022

The current version of ArbExpress does not recognize AFG1022. However, it is using the same waveform file format as the AFG3000. That is why the datasheet states specific to load the waveform using USB flash drive. You could create the waveform in ArbExpress and save as the .tfw waveform file and th...

Re: Saving real time data from TDS3054C to text file using RS232

The TDS3054C come standard with the Ethernet port. If you want to transfer data from it to the PC via RS232, you will need the communication module TDS3GV. Otherwise, I will suggest to transfer data via LAN. If you want to program in C#, I will suggest you to use TekVISA ActiveX Control (TVC). It is...
