Re: replacement IC for TDS7404 / CSA7404

Just a final remark. I got the scope back from Norway Labs. They ended up replacing the two chips that I had suspected to be defective and ran it through its paces. I would definitely recommend them. Re: replacement IC for TDS7404 / CSA7404

The scope is now in Beaverton for repair... I haven't gotten the estimate, yet, so I'm still in good spirits :P Klaus So I finally got my quote for repair after about two weeks. $11890 !!! Re: replacement IC for TDS7404 / CSA7404

Thanks for the reply. The parts in question are in TQFP48 packages and I have both the equipment and the experience to replace them if I had some spare parts. I agree that it is unlikely that both would have died at the same time. My guess is that they both run too hot in general, hence the discolor...

replacement IC for TDS7404 / CSA7404

Hi, I have a CSA7404 that no longer edge triggers from any of the four front panel channels. It still edge triggers on the AUX in and all the advanced triggers still work. Supposedly this is not a rare problem with these scopes. I opened up the scope and noticed that ICs U1801 and U1802 in the trigg...
