Re: Trigger Setting not saved or recalled?

Well this is embarrassing; the trigger setting is restored from a .setup file. I can't explain why I had this impression, but I've been paying attention lately and notice that SignalVu-PC also loses its trigger setting if the RSA306B is disconnected and reconnected.

Trigger Setting not saved or recalled?

SignalVu-PC always starts up with Trigger set to Free Run mode. Neither does it recall the Trigger setting from a .setup file. Bug or feature?

Re: Trigger/Sync Feature Request

I assume by span you mean Measured BW, which is 10MHz, set in Amp Vs Time, and linked to span.

To be certain, you mean "...outside your span but within 20MHz of center frequency"?

Re: Trigger/Sync Feature Request

That's handy! Somewhat related question: I set my Trigger Level to -23dBm and get triggers with a terminator on the input, even though the RSA306B noise floor appears to be more than 8dB below the blue line in Time Overview. The red T is somewhat correlated with power spikes, but by no means reliabl...

Re: Window Arrangement

Thanks, that's a big help!

Wouldn't "Unlock Windows" be a better title?

Window Arrangement

I've read the manual and fiddled endlessly, but can't figure out how to get a specific arrangement of windows. For example, how would I set up three measurement windows with the Amplitude vs Time window on the left half and the Time Overview in the top right quarter and Frequency Dev vs Time in the ...

Re: Zero Crossing Tolerance Measurement

If this measurement were ever added, it would ideally be displayed in the Eye Diagram, which is where the symbol centers are clearly marked and where I use my ruler.

Zero Crossing Tolerance Measurement

Is SignalVu-PC with GP Digital Modulation capable of measuring the zero crossing tolerance of a 2FSK signal - other than holding a ruler up to the screen?

Re: SignalVu-PC under VMWare Fusion

I'm delighted to report this issue went away after an upgrade of MacOS and VMWare. The working setup:

SignalVu-PC V3.10.0030
under VMWare Fusion 10.0.1
under MacOS High Sierra (10.13.1)
on a MacBook Pro Retina, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, Late 2013

Trigger/Sync Feature Request

It would be so convenient if the Trigger/Sync input level, or even just its edges, were displayed in the Time Overview display!

Re: SignalVu-PC under VMWare Fusion

Correct, the spurious window with multiple acquisitions work fine if I boot Windows directly from Bootcamp (ie no VMWare).

Re: SignalVu-PC under VMWare Fusion

My Spurious display has three separate ranges with associated green limit lines. The displayed signal level (yellow trace) has discontinuities at the boundaries between these ranges, suggesting SignalVu-PC performed three separate acquisitions from the RSA306B. I believe the lockup only manifests wh...

Re: SignalVu-PC under VMWare Fusion

Yes, this all runs reliably if I boot my MacBook directly from the Windows Boot Camp partition (ie no VMWare Fusion). VMWare Fusion can be configured to allocate 1,2,3,4,6 or 8 "cores" to my Win 8.1 VM. I assume the setting refers to logical cores or hyper-threads, since my MacBook Pro only has 4 ph...

SignalVu-PC under VMWare Fusion

I'm using an RSA306B with: SignalVu-PC V3.10.0030 under VMWare Fusion 8.5.6 under MacOS Sierra (10.12.4) on a MacBook Pro Retina, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, Late 2013 This setup would work perfectly, but for intermittent freezes when displaying a Spurious window with limit lines, that spans 150kHz to 30...

Limit Lines in Signalvu-PC Spectrum window

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to display CISPR limit lines in a Signalvu-PC Spectrum window with a log X axis?
