Re: Abort sweep on compliance in KXCI (Clarius calls it "Exit Condition")

Hi Andrea,

did you or your colleagues have found the time to look into this issue? Could some of you comment on the status indicator of the padded datapoints?

With kind regrads,

Marcel

Re: Abort sweep on compliance in KXCI (Clarius calls it "Exit Condition")

Hi Andrea, I would answer your questions in reverse order: 'What version of KTEI or Clarius are you running?' We are using plain message IO (KXCI), KTE V9.1-SP4 (Windows 7) 'Curious, are the last few measurements before exit showing the C or T indication for compliance?' - Only when the exit conditi...

Re: Abort sweep on compliance in KXCI (Clarius calls it "Exit Condition")

I managed to use the EC command in a simple DC sweep. However, now I am wondering about how the 4200 returns results: After the compliance occured and the test is exited, the "missing" values are simply returned as "(...) N 0.0000 (...)" According to the manual, page 900, 'N' stands for "Normal", wh...

Re: Abort sweep on compliance in KXCI (Clarius calls it "Exit Condition")

We found the KXCI command in the manual (on page 895, a.k.a. 9-53). It's name is EC ("Exit on Compliance") EC This command sets the condition to exit the test if compliance is reached. Usage EC A, where A is the Action on compliance: * Off (do not exit if compliance is reached): 0 * On (exit if comp...

Abort sweep on compliance in KXCI (Clarius calls it "Exit Condition")

Dear all, I have to "program" a sweep with an "exit condition" on a 4200 together with other instruments via GPIB. I was wondering how I can use KXCI commands to achieve the functionality which is called " Compliance Exit Condition " in Clarius (See page Page 6-106 / 433 in the manual): "The complia...

Re: Arb pulse generation using GPIB commands

Just out of curiosity: Are array typed arguments given by ";" - delimited lists? This would allow me to put several lists next to each other, dleimited with commas. For example when I have my own ArrayAdd method that takes two lists a and b, adds them elemtwise and returns the result in a list c, I ...

Re: Arb pulse generation using GPIB commands

Dear all, I have a related question: Even if I use the UL command, and even if I wrap a LPT method in a KULT routine: How do I pass array typed arguments over GPIB? Do I use Brackets? Do I have to create these array typed variables beforehand? But how would I do this? And how would I hand over the r...

[Update] Correspondance with Tektronix' Technical Support, and the reply by Andrea C

UPDATE after correspondance with Tektronix' technical support and the reply by Andrea C: I do not omit the channel number, I am sending "DE CHn", with n being the channel number. Indeed, the issue was reproduced at Tektronix, it probably is a bug or at least a flaw in the reference manual. The foll...

Does the KXCI command "DE CH" REALLY disable a SMU?

Dear all, While programming a 4200A for stress measurements, I noticed something interesting and probably dangerous : Disabling a channel has no effect on a SMU which standby mode was set! I want to perform a stress measurement and thus keep, say, SMU1 active after the measurement. I can do so by us...

How to retrieve VAR2 sweep measurement data with KXCI

Dear all, I want to follow the example in the 4200A reference manual. I setup a VAR2 sweep as stated in the reference manual (code below), but can not figure out how to query all data usign the "DO" command. As far as I have tested, it only returns one set of data (as if I had set up a VAR1 sweep): ...

How to find out that a channel is limited?

Dear all, Today I'm trying to find out that a smu26xx was in compliance during a measurement. I'm ramping voltage at the cathode and measuring current at the cathode and the anode of a diode. My limit of 0.1 mA is clearly reached during this sweep. However, reading status.measurement.condition does ...

Performing parallel Spot Measurement on two 26xxB SMUs in TSP Links

Dear all, Does anyone know how I can use the trigger model of the 26xxB smus to perform a parallel / multichannel spot measurement with two 26xxB smus? At the moment I have here a 2602B (master node) and a 2636B connected via TSP that are connected to a 3 terminal mosfet. I would like to perform a p...

Re: Get a list of node numbers on TSP link

Wouldn't it be possible to use the node table somehow? At least, the "Series 2600B System SourceMeter Instrument Reference Manual" states on page 6-48 "Commands for remote nodes are stored in the node table. An individual node is accessed as node[N] " Shouldn't it be possible to iterate over "node" ...

Re: Using io.write on 2602B?

On page 6-46 of the "Series 2600B System SourceMeter Instrument Reference Manual" it is suggested avoid string concatenation (in general) to increase available memory. Instead, one shoud use tables of string entries and call table.concat() in the end. I gave it a try and it worked using the followin...

Using io.write on 2602B?

Dear all, I wanted to test the KE26XXB_DC_Sweeps.tsp example on a 2602B to measure the IV characteristic of a resistor. The example script works well. However, in the original version, the script outputs each data tuple (timestamp, current and voltage measurement) line by line using print in a for l...

Ke26XXA IVICOM method "Measurement.Buffer.MeasureData.GetAllReadings" not working in example "SimpleSourceMeasure"?
