Re: Probe Hold App

Thank you, glad you find it helpful! Can I ask what you think the primary drawbacks are? I will probably continue to develop it in my spare time.

Re: Probe Hold App

Ah shoot, I accidentally put the wrong firmware requirement. Download the file again and it should work.

Probe Hold App

This App for the DMM6500 adds a swipe screen that displays the most recent 8 stable readings. The app takes over the trigger model of the instrument. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Download the attached .tspa file 2. Make sure your DMM’s command set is set to TSP in MENU > Settings 3. Put the script on a USB driv...

Re: 4200A remote controlled

There's no default User Library for controlling a 2410 (though it would be possible), so a 2410 cannot be controlled from Clarius without writing your own code. Please see your Private Message inbox.

Re: 4200A remote controlled

That would also be done through KXCI controlling the 2410 as another remote instrument. Also, please see your PMs.

Re: 4200A remote controlled

CVIV control and CVU Compensation can be performed through KXCI, but it is not possible to run a Clarius project over KXCI.

Re: 4200A remote controlled

It's been an idea for the design team but there's currently no plan to implement any functionality like that. That said, we log customer feedback; so if you'd be willing to elaborate, it can help the design team in the future if they decide to develop a different remote control scheme. Like how woul...

Re: 4200A remote controlled

Hi zvikae, It is not currently possible to run a Clarius project remotely via commands. There is also no direct way of translating Clarius projects to KXCI commands. If you wanted to control the instrument remotely, I would recommend using Windows Remote Desktop which which is included on your 4200A.

Re: labview

I glad that solved the problem! But I'm worried the "series scanning low level DCV.vi" might not be the vi you really want for your application. The pseudo card won't allow you to make any measurements so you should not not configure one when actually taking data. Unless you plan on adding a scannin...

Re: labview

Hi Jonas, If you just want to measure with the front or rear input terminals then you will not need an instrument card. A pseudocard is used for setting up or troubleshooting a test that uses a scanner card, but it sounds like you'll only be using the terminals that come with the instrument? The dri...

Re: Easiest way to implement HOLD button?

Hi Mike, Those messages are expected and don't interfere with the functionality written. You can safely ignore both of them. Warning 2728 shows up if you manually abort the script while a measurement is taking place. It shouldn't appear if you abort the trigger model while the measurement is paused ...

Re: Blurry display

Hi, The display sometimes has an envelope of angles (10-15 degrees above or below the horizontal) where slight doubling occurs like your - shows, though yours does seem extreme. This is caused by internal reflections from the TFT and touch screen layers. There's a couple options: - If you think your...

Re: Error : Illegal value for parameter #7

Hi Taeho, That error is telling you there is something wrong with the SegTime settings in either your Ch1 or Ch2 Configurations. You can see more information on the function giving this error if you search "seg_arb_sequence" in the Reference Manual. It's reference page gives full descriptions over a...

Re: A known bug in Clarius v1.5 burns devices - to update or not?

Yes, it was a rather complex bug to discover and we didn't have all the details by the time v1.5 was released so the release notes were left somewhat vague. Unfortunately for this case, the release notes is a tightly controlled document that fulfills some legal requirements, so it's not very easy to...

Re: A known bug in Clarius v1.5 burns devices - to update or not?

The problem might seldom happen when the instrument changes source current range while in source current mode. It might also happen while the instrument changes current sense range while in source current, source voltage or any other mode. That's right. Would using a "best fixed" range setting caus...

Re: A known bug in Clarius v1.5 burns devices - to update or not?

[Would a] firmware change affect the likelihood of this problem happening? A firmware update wouldn't be able to fix this particular issue, but of course you should always be running the latest firmware. Is there a way to check whether our unit is already fixed, or you did not ship fixed units with...

Re: A known bug in Clarius v1.5 burns devices - to update or not?

Thanks for posting, and we apologize if this has effected your workflow at all. 1. Was this problem introduced in v1.5 or was it there also in previous versions, just was not discovered? The error is caused by a hardware issue in the 4200A-CVIV and so has been present in previous versions of Clarius...

Re: 2461 touchscreen errors

That is certainly not expected behavior. The only reset available is accessible through the menu with MENU > System > Info/Manage > System Reset. But it sounds like there is a larger problem with your display that will require a technician to fix. I'd invite you to visit the Tek/Keithley repair home...

Re: Auto range/ Voltage limit

Hi,

So the voltage only sometimes gets locked to 16/17V? That behavior usually means the SMU is hitting a current limit, is that happening? What sort of current levels are you looking at?

I'm not aware of any bugs in the LabView driver but it's certainly possible.

Re: Voltage difference between terminales

There's no specification for maximum allowable voltage between the input and sense terminals, however, there are still some limits present in other specs. In terms of safety, there should never be a voltage difference larger than 350 V between either sense terminal and input Lo (this is independent ...
