Tek EMCVu load from standard clarification

I am trying to setup the limits for the standard CISPR 11 (EN55011) and I am not sure I am seeing what I need. This test would be a pre compliance test for radiated emissions. The system classifications are: Class A, Group 1, Electric Field (3m) There is no option for this however. The closest ones ...

Re: Calculating dBuV properly

Ok I will keep that in mind. The one issue I see is ambient noise as I do not have access to a anechoic chamber. I would love to do a full spectrum sweep with a tracer to find all ambient noise with the DUT off. Is there a function for that on the RSA306B? at least to auto sweep from 3 MHz-1GHz

Re: Calculating dBuV properly

Great, thanks! Just curios, do you think I would stand more to gain using a Bilog antenna vs a biconical? For my application the equipment will only run between 30MHz-1GHz and I only care about the signal power average and peak. Though I know regulatory testing will likely use a Bilog for IEC 60601-...

Re: Calculating dBuV properly

Sorry I did not receive a notification for this. Ok you answered my question and I understand, thanks. Id like to ask you about something else. Can the RSA306B be used with a Bilog or Biconical antenna for system level testing? If so is there documentation showing how to set it up to account for cab...

Calculating dBuV properly

I am using the RSA600B paired with the Tekbox TBWA2/20dB near field probes to test emissions from my PCB. I want to make sure I understand what I am reading. If have no probe or cable connected to my spectrum analyzer I see 42 dBuV (see photo 1). I would have thought it show nothing with no probe or...
