Re: 2602A initialization problem

I used two 26XXA's and a Linksys switch to try to duplicate your problem using Labview and VisualBasic.NET and did not have a problem. If you want to discuss this further email [email protected] with your contact information.

Re: 617 thermal drift

The 617 has been obsolete for over 10 years so I'm not sure there's much we can suggest. We still offer repair and calibration services if you feel there is something wrong with the instrument. As far as the remote interface, it's documented in the manual which is still on our website. I do not beli...

Re: why is 2400 series sourcemeter better?

I am not familiar with the other instrument you mention. I can only tell you that the 2400 family of SMU's are very versatile instruments that can act as a voltage source, current source, voltmeter, ammeter, power meter, and programmable load. I would suggest your review the specifications for the 2...

Unfortunately, no, you cannot do those things with Labtracer. Labtracer is free, unsupported software and has many limitations.

Re: Adding CVU card to 4200-SCS system

Assuming you have a slot available it can be upgraded, but it may require other upgrades depending on the age of your system. It will need to return to the factory for this upgrade. I would suggest you contact sales if you're interested in starting this process.

Re: Strange pulse voltage amplitude and waveform

When you pulse 20V and lower it's done on the 20V range. When you go above 20V you're on the 200V range which has different response times. If you look in the specs for the 2612A you'll see some info on typical Min Pulse Widths. For a source value of 5V into a 0.5 Ohm load it's shown as 300uS, but f...

Re: Problem with reading data from 6487

You need to send the commands Dale indicated then INIT, then wait for the measurements to complete, then send TRACE:DATA?. Is that what you tried? Sending TRACE:DATA? before the INIT would not work.

Re: 4-wirw resistance measurements

You can make 4 wire resistance measurements with the 7702. In 4 wire mode channels are paired. 1 is paired with 21 2 is paired with 22 etc... 20 is paired with 40 In 4 wire mode you have 20 channels to work with. When you close relay 1 the instrument will close channel 1 and connect these signals to...

I believe printf statements will go directly to the Message Console. If you use Start->Run and enter "msgcon" you should see the console window. Try a printf and see if it shows up there.

Re: Problem with KULT & UTMs after 8.1 upgrade

Try running Initialize New User and then building the libraries. This utility sets the path variable, among other things, so that the software can find the compiler and linker.

LabTracer is free, unsupported, and very limited in what it can do. I don't believe this is possible with LabTracer.

Re: negative glitch sweeping sink current

SMU's can have problems crossing range boundaries with some test devices. A good test would be to fix the current range of the 2430 to the 3Amp range and run your sweep. You will lose resolution at the smaller values, but it may correct your problem. I am not following what you mean by "Also, does K...

Unfortunately if you wish to use these you may need to have an older version of Labview installed so you...

Re: keithley 2400 meter

Errors in the -100 category are typically syntax errors of some kind. Something has been sent to the instrument and it is not a command the 2400 can process because it's incorrect in some way. I'd suggest you use NI Spy to find the actual command being sent. That should help you figure out what is w...

Hello Miguel,

If you visit this site:

You'll see all the support materials for the KPCI-3102. There are some examples using Labview 6. According to the NI website you can open LV6 vi's with LV2009.
