Re: variable compliance in sweep

Hello, I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, it seems like multiple terms are in your question which refer to something other than your diagram. So first, some clarification of the terms, then an answer to what I think is your question. 1) TSB is an abbreviation for Test Script Builder , which i...

Re: USB flash drive is not present

Hello, I'd recommend first updating the firmware on your 2450 Source Meter. Download page: http://www.tek.com/search/apachesolr_search/2450?filters=type%3Asoftware%20tid%3A1029 As flash drives are updating with new capabilities and standards, we are doing our best to keep up with support for all of ...

Re: 2612B Synchronization Method

Hi Jaime, Assuming you are NOT using overlapped measurement commands, you can simply turn on prompts to see when the last command is completed. With prompts on, the instrument will prompt you with TSP> if there are no errors and TSP? if there are errors. The instrument can also send the >>>> prompt,...

Re: LAN connection fails in long measurements

Hi Filipe, Regarding the old topic, have you downloaded v1.41C for your 3706? Note that because the 3706 was discontinued (replaced by the 3706A), it is not likely we can update the firmware beyond v1.41C. Can you please provide the details of what you are doing with the DMM7510? Have you tried a di...

Re: 6221 read ac current data labview

The 2182A only performs external voltage measurements and internal temperature measurements. It does not measure current. I'm not able to view your LabView code, but was wondering what commands you are sending. Can you list them in text format? Error Messages 410 and 420 would not be related to chan...

Re: Keithley 2636B Source Meter - Pulse Mode Calibration.

Hello Mark, I've rechecked with our Calibration team in Solon, OH at Keithley again after hearing from the Calibration team in Germany. We have discovered that the MANUFACTURING calibration includes data for the 10A ranges, but because the 2636B's spec for the 10A range is "typical", we do not calib...

Re: Keithley 2636B Source Meter - Pulse Mode Calibration.

HI Mark, I checked with our calibration team at Keithley in Solon, OH. They confirmed the 10A range of the 2636B should be verified and reported. There are two types of calibration service offered by Tektronix/Keithley: OEM , where the O riginal E quipment M anufacturer performs the calibration serv...

Re: Keithley 2636B Source Meter - Pulse Mode Calibration.

Hello Mark,

If an OEM calibration was performed, it should include 10 amp source and measure range adjustments (if done) with before/after measurements.

Do you know if this was an MVS (multi-vendor services) cal, or an OEM cal performed by Tektronix?

Re: how to store last reading of Buffer

Hi! This seems like it will work, but what is the variable n? I don't know what GSMU is being set to, I assume something like GSMU = smua --or GSMU = node[1].smua Can we assume that you are setting n = GSMU.nvbuffer1.n ? This also assumes that smua.nvbuffer1 is measuring the desired parameter (curre...

You are correct in that we have not released a driver for the KUSB-488B USB/GPIB interface that supports Windows 10. If it helps at all, we are wanting this too. Stuart M is the right person to contact. In the meantime, are you installing the KUSB-488B driver as "Keithley Command Compatible" or "NI ...

Re: Exploring source delay and measure delay

First, note that the default source and measure delay settings are smuX.DELAY_AUTO, which will choose a range-dependent delay based on the instrument's typical settling time characteristics. That said, if you want to explicitly control the source and measure delays, you can do so. The source delay i...

Re: How to use oscilloscope with floating grounds?

Yes, the best solution is to use true differential probes. It is generally not good practice to connect your measured signal's ground to earth (chassis) ground.

Re: Trouble creating a buffer (error -286)

Hello, I see you've figured out the problem regarding setting buffer attributes. When you use one of the internal nonvolatile buffers, smuX.nvbuffer1 or smuX.nvbuffer2, those are permanent elements of the smuX objects. However, when you create your own buffer, it is an object (table) unto its own - ...

Quasi-Static CV Example with SMUs and RPMs

Outside of this forum, customers have asked how to use the Quasi-Static CV (qscv) example project on the 4200-SCS (C:\s4200\kiuser\Projects\_CV\qscv). This project was written with the assumption that two SMUs, which are configured with 4200-PA preamplifiers, are connected directly to the device und...

Re: Possible Bugs in KXCI V9.1?

There are known problems related to status polling in KXCI in release v9.1: AR41841 / PR53996 KXCI In certain instances, it was possible for a KXCI test to be complete, but still cause an error message when attempting to retrieve data after the test. The error message was “ERROR: Command not valid d...

Re: Doing C-V test by connecting Keithely 4200 with Keithley

So, this error did not occur on my system. I think the problem is that you don't have CMTR1 in your 4200 system configuration (KCON). Exit KITE, start KCON, select Tools->Add External Instrument->Capacitance Meter->Keithley 590 CV Analyzer By default, this should create an instrument named CMTR1. Ma...
