Re: 4225-RPM and load-line effects

HI Dan,

I'm not totally following why your Vds is crossing 0V, are you getting leakage from a negative Vbs, or is it something that is not quite right with the measurement?
I'll ping your Applications Engineer too.

Re: 4225-RPM and load-line effects

Hello Dan, I have dealt with this very issue before and you may have a work-around, depending on the device's operating region. It is a challenging issue and we have a number of ways to deal with it. I did not notice in your post what Vds is set to for the sweep. In ACS and the UFBTI PTM load line e...

Re: KULT problems

Hello Chris, Do you have Visual Studio 2010 or Visual Studio Express 2010? VS Express is unfortunately not supported. The issue you ran into was that the LIB and INCLUDE environment variables were not set up completely in the System Registry. Apparently, re-installing VS 2010 set them correctly. Nor...

Re: 6220 current source output impedance when Off

The output impedance in the "off" state is not specified. I assume that since the output resistance is specified as >10^14 ohms, it is high impedance when off.

Re: Capacitor polarization current

Your plots show 0.1 to 10pA of current. It appears from your plots and code that the 6517B is measuring this current. I'm not sure what current this encompasses. Left to just connections in air, this may include other leakage currents. Besides following the recommended shielding techniques by connec...

Hello NIcolás, I understand that you are having issues using MatLab to load and execute TSP scripts. You had mentioned that you used TSB first; can you do this using TSB? Please post the TSP scripts and instrument commands you are using. As this should work with ANY language, we cannot directly supp...

Re: Analog outputs donot seem to output anything in remote s

Not sure what you are saying the problem is here. The scope trace is fine, but the analog outputs don't register? You are making a 20mA measurement on a 6V output - that sounds like 300 ohms. Could this be a scope measurement issue?

Re: low current measurement bias

Oh, I thought you needed to apply a ~10V bias to the input and measure the current on a - scale - from your original post. You'll have to specify the actual requirement in detail and I think a Keithley Application Engineer could help you apply the correct instrument. We have worked with other scient...

Re: Connect external AC source with 2400 in series?

The 2400 uses output terminals which source either current or voltage and measure both current and voltage. These terminals are isolated from chassis ground up to a 250V limit. These output terminals are labeled HI and LO, and the source output is referenced between them, along with the measurement ...

Re: drivers ver. 3.06 for KPCI-488LPA

I've tested the download for v3.06 of the KPCI-488LPA driver from our web site. There is no problem with the ZIP file. Using the built-in Windows XP Compressed File management, I extracted the contents of the ZIP file to a directory that I created. Then, I executed setup.exe - the installation succe...

Yes! You can apply an offset of up to 220V peak to the HI input and up to 42V peak to the LO input (safety limit).

From our manual...

Re: DriverLINX error 51 "Cannot allocate task memory "

You are correct. This error indicates that either the process or the system was not able to allocate enough memory to complete the Service Request (DriverLINX call). Either the request (allocate a sample buffer, for example) was too great to be satisfied by the system/process or other processes are ...

Re: Using constant voltage sink to replace LED behaviour

Yes, I think you could do this with a source meter, depending on current levels and your device's inrush current behavior. For example, using a 2400 Source Meter set to source a constant voltage at your forward bias voltage (+21 to+ 29 V) applied in place of the LED's, it would sink current when you...

Re: 4225-PMU measure concept ?

For each PMU channel, there are two 200 MSa/s (maximum sample rate) digitizers (5nS sample period). One digitizer measures the PMU channel's voltage sense (local or remote), and the other measures the PMU channel's proprietary current sense circuitry. These digitizers have a programmable sample rate...

Re: opto isolated adapters for -

Not sure I know exactly what you mean. If you mean a device that would optically isolate the measurement current from the instrument, I don't believe there is such a device that would accurately "duplicate" - level currents from one side of the isolator to the other. You would be at the mercy of the...

2600A Series Interlock

Here are some relevant manual details on the interlock connector for Models 2611A, 2612A, 2635A, and 2636A. These models have the capability of sourcing voltages above 42V, up to 200V. Because of this, you face the risk of sourcing dangerous voltages so these models have a relay interlock system to ...
