Re: 2700 not seeing 7703 module

I determined there is a checksum error in the upper portion of the 7703 eeprom. The checksummed range is from 0x10 to 0x66. If I correct the checksum the card is recognized but doesn't work properly. I can't toggle any relays. Does anyone have an example of a 7703 card eeprom? I'd really like to us...

Re: 2700 not seeing 7703 module

For the 7703, can you open and close the relays from the front panel of the 2700?

Re: Current limit

You can set a limit for current. Press the LIMIT button the front panel and navigate to the menu to set current limit.

The instrument will not "shut off" automatically. You can create a script that will turn off the output if the current is greater than or equal to a value that you specify.

Re: 2400-voltage measurement before and after current pulse

If you want to measure the characteristics of the rising and falling edge of the pulse from a 2400, you will need to use an oscilloscope.

Your other option is to use a sourcemeter with a high-speed digitizer. The 2461 has a high speed digitizer.

Re: Continuous voltage measurement with Matlab script, 2000

Hello Andrea, Thanks for your help. Just one more problem, I added these lines to the script fprintf(dev,'*RST'); fprintf(dev, ':CONF:VOLT:DC'); pause(0.1); fprintf(dev, 'SENS:VOLT:DC:NPLC:0.1'); anyhow despite the fact that I change the rate to fast and manual measurement in the multi-meter, whene...

Re: Keithley 3706A cannot save Setup

Attached is a Python program that scans two wire ohms with one MUX card # This python program controls a 3706A DMM with a 3720 switch card and a 3720-ST brakout board. Nine resistors are installed in channels # 1 - 9. Two-wire ohms mesurements are scanned. The strings that are returned by the 3706A ...

Re: Continuous voltage measurement with Matlab script, 2000

Your script appears to be lacking some commands. The script setup is only fprintf(dev, ':CONF:VOLT:DC'); pause(0.1); I recommend that you begin with a *rst After CONF:VOLT:DC, I would set SENS:VOLT:DC:NPLC to the NPLC setting you are using for front panel measurements. I believe that the default spe...

Re: Driver for Nanovoltmeter 2182A

There appears to be no driver for the A version. The recommendation is to use the driver for the non-A version. There are two releases on tek.com http://www.tek.com/specialty-instruments/2182-software/2182-labview-ver-5x-lv-driver-windows http://www.tek.com/specialty-instruments/2182-software/2182-l...

You should contact our service organization to have your 2410 repaired. The blue light should be extinguished when you depress the output on/off button.

Re: 2612B Synchronization Method

It is not clear to me what you are trying to synchronize and why. Are you performing parallel test of multiple devices on a wafer? Do you have a mix of 2600A and 2600B instruments?

Please explain your test setup and procedures in detail.

Re: Keithley 2400 Sub-nA Measurements with Triax Cable

The guard protects against current leakage in the cable between the instrument and your circuit. The guard is dropped just before your circuit. The guard can be used to energize an enclosure that surrounds your circuit. This is called a guard enclosure. It prevents current from flowing from HI to LO...

Re: Keithley 2400 Sub-nA Measurements with Triax Cable

You would have to use the rear banana jacks and connect the banana jack guard to the guard of a triax cable. The model 2400 range uncertainty of the lowest current range is 300pA. This may preclude any serious sub nano-amp work. The 2450 is a much better platform for sub nano-amp work. I have perfor...

The 2410 is not an AC volts instrument. If you want to measure AC volts, you want to use a DMM.

Re: SMU 2657A overheating?

If you are never exceeding 50uA at 3000V and below, you should never have a heat problem. My guess is that the 2657A is oscillating and that the oscillation is what is heating up the instrument. Can you get a high voltage probe and record the sweeps with an oscilloscope? Is your device highly capaci...
