Re: Can the 2410 source 1.6A for 10ms?

Joe, thanks for your prompt response.
I will use a power supply and a resistor instead to source the current.
I wonder if the 2410 can be used as a voltmeter to measure the MOSFET Vds.
Can it be set to detect a maximum voltage of 0.4V for 20ms?

Can the 2410 source 1.6A for 10ms?

Hi, I am using a 2410 to measure the Vds voltage of a power MOSFET. The maximum Vds value is 0.4V. Typical values are in the 0.25V-0.34V range. The input to the MOSFET is a 1.2V, 10ms pulse from a function generator. I understand the 2410 maximum specified current is 1.0A. However, can the 2410 meas...

Re: Labview Driver Gets Stopped

You seem to have a coma as decimal delimiter in the Compliance Level value. Use a decimal point (period) instead.

Using 2612B Ch B as DVM

Hi, I have a 200 ohm, 1/4W resistor in series with a programmable function generator. The generator outputs a single train 50% duty cycle pulse with amplitude of 2.0 Vpp and duration of 300ms. Can the 2612B be used as a DVM to measure the voltage across this resistor? Regards, Jaime Arévalo Test Eng...

Re: 2410 Voltage Measurement Response Time

Thanks Andrea. I reviewed the Timing diagrams listed in the 2410 User’s Manual, Specifications A-5. However, I cannot duplicate the values shown for Case I Source On Time, 2.9msec for Source V or 3.25msec for Source I. I have copied and pasted the text as listed in the 2400 User's Manual, 2400S-900-...

2410 Voltage Measurement Response Time

Hi, The MOSFET output on-resistance (Rds on) of a solid state relay will be measured by sourcing a fixed current level (800mA) from the 2410 and measuring the voltage, which should not exceed 2V (voltage limit =2V). These values (0.8A and measured voltage) will be used to calculate the MOSFET on-res...

2612B Pulse Configuration

Hi, In order to measure a MOSFET Output On-Resistance used in an opto-coupled high power solid state relay I plan to configure a 2612B to generate a single pulse to be applied to the input diode. The MOSFET Output On-Resistance will be measured using a 2410. The requirements for this input pulse are...

Re: Synchronizing 2612B and 2410

Thanks Joseph V, I could wire pins 1 and 15 in the 2612B Digital I/O connector to pins 1 and 7 in the 2410 DIN connector to generate a hardware trigger for the 2410. This approach should be faster than a software trigger via GPIB or RS-232. Can you provide the time delay specification for this trigg...

Synchronizing 2612B and 2410

Andrea, I am designing an automated test system (ATS) to verify the output withstand voltage and output leakage current of solid state opto-coupled relays. The ATS includes a 2612B and a 2410. The output withstand voltage to be measured is in the 400V-480V range. The output leakage current requires ...

Re: 2612B Rise and Fall time of single pulse at 800mA

Thanks Andrea.

Indeed using an oscilloscope, a function generator and a DC power supply connected to a resistor load to test the Turn-On and Turn-Off times is the way to go.

Re: 2612B Rise and Fall time of single pulse at 800mA

Andrea, I forgot to mention that I will be using a Tek 2012C Digital Storage Oscilloscope to monitor the pulse into the SSR input. Can synchronize the SMU output pulse to the scope so I can measure the actual rise time when the pulse reaches 90% of its amplitude? I plan to use CH1 on the input pulse...

2612B Rise and Fall time of single pulse at 800mA

Hi Andrea, I need clarification on the ability of a 2612B to perform a Turn-On and Turn-Off time measurement of a solid state relay. This is a DOD 5962-9140 test requirement. The test procedure is outlined on section 3.2.4 of the procedure and the test diagram is on page 10. To access the PDF click ...
