Re: Remote Control Software

Hello, Let me know if you are going to use the instrument by itself or integrated with other instrumentation. If by itself or with similar instrumentation type/model, you might not need to develop your own software. There's a built-in software in the instrument using TSP Express that might be enough...

Re: Getting intermediate results during long-term measuremen

Hello,
What instrument model # are you using? If you are using the 2600 Series SMU, I can make a suggestion on possible solutions for you.

Let me know.

Re: Absolute Measurements

Hi Stephan,
Looking at the date when you sent this note, I am hopeful that this is already resolved. If not, I hope you were able to fix your configuration file units and function settings. Also, make sure that your scan and data file output displays.

Regards.

Re: Problem with 6220

Hello, It is an unfortunate event. It is highly unlikely that the system oveloaded at 50 mA considering you used 100 mA range. The max output power specs of the unit is 11W with voltage compliance limit of 0.1V to 105V. Again I am assuming you used compliance when you used the unit. I think that it ...

Re: Intermittent Failure Opening 2700

Hi Tony, Yes, the NI forum is correct. In the case of power failure, you will need to reconnect to the system anyway. Correct? I think it should be OK to simply leave the connection open at all times. If you need to close the connection, simply re-establish the connection again to make sure that you...

Re: 2602A USB problem

Hello, What is the firm ware of your SMU? There could be in compatibility between your USB and the FW that the USB is not recognizable. This could also be due to how the script was written to save the data to the USB. This could also be due to erroneous port as you suggested. Try to debug the first ...

Hello Dr. Saturn,
It will be beneficial for us if you can diagram your test function, test conditions and expected results for your tests.

Re: Limitations when reading stored measured values?

Hello, This is not a bug with Excelinx and yes the count is very limited in Excelinx. ExceLinx Freeware was developed as a quick way to run some tests. It was not designed to run for long periods of time and thousands of data. Unfortunately, for your type of test the best way or option for you is to...

Unfortunately, the answer is NO. The preference is still to use an external PC to control the instrument using LV.

Re: Connecting more than one SMU to the switch matrix

Hi Sesha, What is the function of the constant voltage source? If the pin for the source V is fixed, you can keep the matrix line as your source then use the other SMU channel to test around the IC pins to measure leakage. Basically, you have one matrix line for source V and another line for measure...

Re: smu2612A pulseIMeasureV-problems with oscillation

Hello; There are three things that are of concern with your set-up. 1. Self-heating - as stated you need <500uS PW. With this in mind, the 2612A might not be the box for you to be able to characterize your device. As you mentioned, you have meaningful data at ms time range. Did you compare the data ...

Re: Labtracer Software Problem

Hello,
Yes, Labtracer does not give you options to plot multiple axis. Do keep in mind that this tool is a freeware and geared towards a quick and easy simple IV measurements. At this point, this software is a non supported tool and there will be no more updates on this tool.
