Re: 3706A, invalid resistance reading value

Hello, If the issue is indeed Ke37xx IVI Driver 2.1.0, might take us time to validate and come up with a fix immediately. If you havent done checking the system functionality (3706A + 3731 + 3706A - DMM + Windows XP) using the built-in software via ethernet. This way, you can eliminate the other var...

Re: PC cannot detect KE2700

Hi Peter, For RS-232 communication . . . Your PC must be equipped with an RS-232 port, commonly called COM port. Most computers are supplied with these ports. Should one not be available on your PC, most computer retailers carry RS-232 add-in boards in ISA, PCI or PCMCIA form factor. You will also n...

Hello, Here's how I understood your connection; 1. LAN to PC via ethernet (see set-up for LAN as attached) 2. 2 x 2602A x-over cable . 2602A #1 with LAN connection = Node 1. Connected OUT of TSP-link to IN of 2602A #2. (SEE attached connection TSP LINK) See example hardware connection as attached. L...

Re: 6517B Problem in 2nA range

Hi Anand, Per your description, it occurs that there is an issue at nA range. To validate the issue, the event will be reproduced in the lab to make sure that it is indeed a specification non-conformance. We will keep you posted. To reproduce the issue, send us all the test conditions used during th...

I see. I assume that you are storing the readings into the buffer and retrieving it from there. This is the closest to real time.

Re: Resistivity, Temperature and Voltage Measurement by 2182

Hello, 1. We do not have a software developed for the instrumentation you have to do Delta Mode measurement. We have a freeware for delta mode measurement using 6221A + 2182A. If self heating is an issue, you might want to check Keithley's pulse capabilities under 4200 Pulse (see link). http://www.k...

Re: KITE test abort issues

Hello, Okay. Will it be possible for you to describe the events before you press the abort button and the events after you press the abort button? What triggers you to press the abort button? Also, please attach the 4200 configuration file. You can find the configuration file under KCON and save the...

Re: 2611 Max Current Max Voltage Pulse

Hello, When you mention that the tsp worked, I am not sure what you mean because it didn't work when you try to run the tsp from the front panel. My assumption is that you are testing a 2-terminal device. If so, it might be best for you to use TSP Express to run your test rather than using the front...

I assume that you are storing the data after every reading/measurement. If bothe are set-up the same then the rate will be the same.

Re: 2611 Max Current Max Voltage Pulse

Hello,
I would like to know if your unit is really 2611 as compared to 2611A. Next, what is the firmware of your SMU? Also, will you identify your specific test conditions and other pertinent information regarding the test. How are you setting this up?

Thank you.

Re: Input data

Hello, I am not sure what you mean by putting the data back into the 4200. But, it might be easier if you will use the APPEND test to RUN multiple Area values. Each run will generate its own set of test data. There's a number of ways to handle this; 1. Use the formulator and add a constant for the A...

Re: Cannot connect with telnet

I am assuming that you are using an ethernet cable to connect to the instrument. If so, there's a detailed instruction on how to make a connection and communicate to the box. Follow the configuration instructions of your desired network set-up in section B-1 of the reference manual. See link below; ...

Re: Noise in nA range

First, it seems like your connection drawing was based on 2636A instead of 2635A. If you are using 2635A, I will assume that you are using 4-wire connection (HI & HI-Sense together, LO & LO-SENSE together (center pins only)) all the way to your DUTconnection. Your transition points from the end of t...

Re: 4200-SCS - Desired current, system set voltage

Hello, I am not clear on what you mean by record (sourced value or measured value?). Per the two tests identified, it should not be an issue. Yes, this is a set-up/test condition configuration, and possible data display settings. Also, is the recording you are referring a matter of one time testing ...
