Re: Calculating Symbol rate of baseband signal with AWG7102

selecting a sampling rate is a personal choice. without shaping your baseband you can sample at the symbol rate. shaping requires oversampling. 6x oversampling could be too much or too little. Adjust it as you see fit.

Re: Matlab - Save in WFM format

AWG *.WFM files are used with the AWG400/500/600 (hundred) Series. The byte definitions are documented in the AWG400/500/600 Series Programmer Manual - Waveform File page 2-131 (161 of PDF) (http://www.tek.com/node/831025). awg5k/7k and the new awg70k support importing these old *.wfm to ease migrat...

Modulating IQ with RFXpress

in rfxpress set your modulation type to file1(samples) and choose your sample file. if i and q are separate files you'll need to switch to multi-carrier mode; two carriers, same frequency, one for i and one for q.

Re: AFG 3000 Series

the AFG3000C series where designed to be equivalent to the AFG3000B series.

could you elaborate on the difficulty that you are having with the C series?

Re: Matlab - Save in WFM format

assuming that ArbExpress, no-cost software provided AS-IS, is the "correct" *.wfm file format is... a dangerous assumption.

i define what is correct as what accomplishes your task. i'm glad you were able to find a solution and thank you for sharing.

DPO 3k/4k Search Python

Many support requests involve programmatic interfaces and the vast majority of them could be self-resolved through usage of the event status register. Querying the search total immediately after activating a search will often create a race condition. The search total returns 0 but the event status m...

Re: AFG3022B - generate 2 tones

the afg uses a technique called direct digital synthesis for signal generation. while the internal sampling rate is fixed, the phase accumulator will dynamically repeat, advance, or skip samples to best fit the settings. This is important to note because the afg doesn't have a large sample record. y...

for AWG7000, i've never had a problem with one sample per line. you do need dos style newlines and ascii encoding

Re: AFG3052C Can't connect?

To be clear, ArbExpress is $0.

You are welcome to vent on the forums but we have a formal feedback form at http://e-sites2.tek.com/actionrequest/art_ui.home (log in required) Our product development teams do read these and quantified feedback is something we can act upon.

Re: AFG3052C Can't connect?

it sounds to me that arbexpress will clearly not help you. i recommend you stop using it. furthermore, arbexpress won't help labview transfer waveforms. within labview, can you write a *idn? and read the reply from the instrument using the VISA VIs? http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361H-01...

Re: DPO4034 clearing Min Max values

Are you trying to clear the measurement values after the scope does a single acquisition? If so pressing the "Clear" front panel button located next to the "Single" button will clear the measurements but it will also clear the displayed waveform. where is the clear button on a dpo4034? try Measure,...
