Re: remote control the tcpa300 current probe amplifier

i suppose where there is a will, there is a way but it'll take a herculean effort. the tcpa300 does not have any official remote control features. range information is sent to the oscilloscope if you are using the tekprobe interface cable but that is it.

Re: IVI Labview AFG320

not a stupid question. ivi drivers attempt to homogenize instruments across vendors (agilent, tektronix, they are both function generators right?). it sounds good on paper but in my experience ivi drivers are missing features or contain bugs. the solution is to use the commands found in afg300 serie...

tfw file and remote instrument control are two different things. you cannot just copy the tfw to the afg via Ethernet.

Re: AFG3000 MATLAB ICT Send Waveform 1

Hi, Im trying to make my own waveform and I just cant set it more than 245 samples... I have downloaded a manual with the commands of how to communicate with the AFG but I just cant make it work with more samples. Im using the code from here as a base. Any help about it? sounds like a buffer proble...

Re: AWG5002c sweep

i wouldn't use arbexpress with an awg the awg is a memory based instrument. the output must be fully defined before starting the output. the classic sweep traditionally created with a voltage control oscillator is a procedural (essentially frequency modulation with a ramp input). This provides a bit...

Re: Creating Arbitary waveform using the AFG3102

this equation syntax is for the AWG500 series and is incompatible with the ArbExpress equation editor feature. they are two different tools with different features and syntax. you will have to rewrite it.

Re: AFG3011C Pulse Width Modulation

Tektronix does not offer power amplifiers at this time. The Toellner TOE 7607 you mention looks very capable and expensive but should work well with an AFG.

I build my own amps but they are only for audio frequencies. :ugeek:

RSA Python SNMP Marker Monitor

This is a hack using python, pyvisa, and pysnmp to give SNMP powers to an RSA6120B. It sets up a spectrum display at the specified freq and span and uses a marker to measure the power at the center freq every second. If the signal falls below the threshold, a generic SNMP trap is sent to the specifi...

Re: Output transition time, AFG3021B: USER1 to Ext USB file?

none of the performance you are asking for hasn't been formally tested and i don't know anyone who's tested it. everything you've reported seems normal to me and I'd be going about your task the same way. If faster switching between functions (or just more sample memory) is required, an AWG5000 seri...
