keithley 2400 meter

Post by poli109 » January 24th, 2011, 11:27 am

Hi
I recently purchased keithley 2400 meter and am doing LABVIEW based data acquisition.
Thank you for kindly providing the drivers.
I downloaded the drivers and was using the attached "Read(Single Point).vi,
But the meter freezes up giving error -113 and the following-

VISA Read in Keithley 24XX.lvlib:Wait for Operation Complete.vi->Keithley 24XX.lvlib:Read (Multiple Points).vi->Keithley 24XX.lvlib:Read (Single Point).vi

What should be done to fix this?

Thanks in advance

Regards

I am sorry, this topic should be under SMU.

I am using Labview 2009, NI VISA 4.5.1, Serial RS232 connection.

Errors in the -100 category are typically syntax errors of some kind. Something has been sent to the instrument and it is not a command the 2400 can process because it's incorrect in some way.

I'd suggest you use NI Spy to find the actual command being sent. That should help you figure out what is wrong with the command.

Thanks for the feedback.
I attach a vi, "Read multiple points.vi", that i downloaded from the keithley drivers.

The configure trigger is not wired to anything, any suggestions where it should be wired to ?

If you drill into the VI you'll see it's setting the arm and trigger source to immediate. Unless you want to trigger on some specific event this should be fine.
