Labtracer on the 2400 Sourcemeter

Post by landono936 » March 3rd, 2011, 3:15 pm

Hello,

I am trying to do real time measurements using Labtracer (a supplied software package from keithley) on my 2400 sourcemeter.
I.E. I am trying to monitor the resistance of my sample in real time as I change various parameters in the environment.

I had written a program in labview that does this but when I take my program to my colleagues lab, I get an undefined query error on the 2400 itself and have spent a week trying to figure out why with no result.

I have gotten labtracer to work but can't figure out how to do real time measurements with it. Is this even possible?

Thank you,
L

Labtracer does not display the data in real time.
It waits until the sweep or data taking process is complete then the it is displayed in graph form and table form.

Have the same query error when using Labview. Seems no one in here knows how to deal with it.

What exactly is the undefined query error?
Examples...
-113 Undefined header - Basically a syntax error.
-410 Query Interrupted - Unit did not send all the data when addressed to talk and then sent another command.
-420 Query Unterminated - Addressed to talk without sending a query first.
