How to use labtracer 2.0 to fulfil the cable guard

Post by wjy617 » November 8th, 2010, 2:09 pm

I would like to use the Labtracer 2.0 to fulfill the cable-guard IV measurements on a Keithley 2400 SMU. But when I run the program, it is always using the front terminal to output even I initially switched to the rear terminals by pressing the FRONT/REAR key on the font panel. Hope someone could help me out. Thanks

Cable guard is the default guard on the 2400 series.
Labtracer inherently sets the unit to front panel terminals.
There is no control for front/rear panel terminal input/output with Labtracer.
It is simply just for front panel terminals.

Hi Dale, thanks for your reply. But I still have question on how to get the cable-guard measurement. If I can only connect to the front panel by using labtracer,I will not be able to use the cable guard in the rear panel. Is there any way I can get the cable-guard measurement by still using labtracer?

Hello,
I don't believe you need to use the rear panel In/out terminals when using cable guard.
Just use the front panel in/out terminals.
Now route the rear panel guard terminal to the where you need it.
It still is guard when using either front or rear terminals.
Do you follow this?
