Resistance Auto Range

Post by tomlipko » December 8th, 2010, 1:09 pm

When I try to measure the resistance in Auto mode and Auto Range, the 2400 heads for the high range, 200 M Ohm. About 1 ohm on the input connectors. The Cmpl indicator remains flashing no matter what range the 2400 is in. I can manually range the 2400 to the 20 Ohm range but when I press AUTO or remotely try auto the system changes range to 200 MOhm. Just updated to the latest firmware. Any suggestions?

Just a thought, are you using the right inputs? The test device can be connected to either the front or rear inputs, but you need to set the instrument to tell it which to use.

Assuming you have the correct inputs selected, have you tried simply sourcing a small current and measuring the voltage?
