TSP Express Unable to Launch

Post by pcavas » January 17th, 2019, 10:15 am

Hello,
I am using a Keithley 2612B system with firmware version 3.2.2. It's connected to a computer and the Virtual Front Panel is working fine, but when I try to launch TSP Express I get the following error: "Unable to Launch the Application". I am using Java 8 and Internet Explorer 11, Java Plug-in is enabled. I have administrator privileges in the computer and added my instrument's IP addresses to the Java's Safe Site List button. Any suggestions on what I should do?
Thanks

Try this...
Cannot open or access TSP Express with 2600B series SMU.

What internet browser are you using?
Looks like Firefox is the only one that supports Java.
I think that might be the issue.

Firefox 52 ESR is available.
Unlike the regular Firefox, the ESR (Extended Support Release) series will not have all the latest features, but still will support java until May 2018.
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/o ... tions/all/
You could download that and disable automatic updates and you should be good to go.

Java 8 and newer browsers do not work.
Here's what still works...

32-bit browser
Firefox ESR (latest version is now 60).
Internet Explorer 11.

Java Runtime (jre) (32-bit)
In addition to one of the above 32-bit browsers, you will also need 32-bit java runtime.
Java runtime (x86)versions 6 and 7 both still work.
Once java runtime is installed, you need to enable the add-in from your browser.

You can try delete cache or just run from Java control panel.
