URGENT: Real-time Data Acquisition using 6485 on EXCELinx

I have a 6485 -, and we want to record time variation of current (expected to be some hundred femto-amps, 1E-15 A) over few minutes.

I am new to SCPI, but I found the EXCELinx quite useful. I have two things to ask:

1. Is there a good short manual to help understand various parameters used in EXCELinx sheets? I see the Help menu, but I would like to read in detail.

2. On setting the trigger time parameters (for example to read 10 times at interval of 0.1s each) I notice that the data is output at the end when the device has stopped reading. Is there a way to do it in real-time..? I would like to set it for 5 minutes and see the plot in excel change over that time, while the device reads the current.


Urgent query. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. There is no instruction manual for Excelinx-2A. there is however a short video about Excelinx-1A. It is for the 2700 series not the 6485 series.
But it is similar. It might help.

2. That is the way Excelinx works. It wait until all the data is taken then shows it and the end.

Unfortunately, Yes.
Excelinx-2A does not update in real time.
