Thermocouple Switch Application

Post by jlewis2 » November 16th, 2011, 12:26 pm

I am looking for a 20 Channel switch unit. I am wanting to use one standard instrument and via a pc scan through 16 thermocouples with the signal being routed to the measurement instrument. The PC will initiate switching to the next channel. Any help selecting the proper switch unit would be helpful.

I would look at a 2700 or 2701 with a 7700 card. The 7700 card is a 20 channel differential multiplexer card with automatic CJC. The 2700 is a DMM/Switch mainframe that can use the 77XX family of cards. The 2700 can remotely connect to a PC via GPIB or RS-232, while the 2701 can connect through Ethernet or RS-232.
