Quasi 4-probe measurement

Post by JCP2017 » May 30th, 2017, 3:29 pm

Hi,
When using a 2400 purely as a voltmeter (say, to measure hall voltage) can one reduce the leakage current into the DUT by shunting a resistor across In/Out Hi/Lo and then only connect Sense Hi and Lo to the sample while using remote sensing or would this cause unreliable readings?

Have you tried it?

Keep in mind that there is a max allowable delta v between the force and senses leads. Using them in this "uncoupled" way could result in some odd behaviors with certain complex loads.
