Breakdown Test Sweep V, Exit on Current Limit

Post by CuriousGeorge » May 24th, 2021, 4:34 pm

Using 2657A to do staircase voltage sweep for breakdown test, can the script exit early if the current limit is encountered?

Yes, that can be done.

Here is sweeping the voltage to 250V (1V steps) on a 10GΩ resistor and on a 200V Zener.
In the case of the zener, we exit the sweep early.

This same code will work with any of the 2600A or 2600B models (up to their max voltage capability).
