About Pulse Specification of 2657A.

Post by Gibbs Choi » January 13th, 2014, 8:54 pm

I saw the pulse specification of 2651A SYSTEM SourceMeter in data sheet.
But I can't find the pulse specification of the 2657A SYSTEM SourceMeter.
Can I understand same pulse specification 2657A and 2651A SYSTEM SourceMeter?

The 2657A has no extended operating area pulsing. In other words, the I-V ranges for pulsing and for DC are exactly the same. Programming a pulse on the Model 2657A is the same as programming a pulse on the Model 2651A. However, because the 2657A is high voltage and has longer settling time than the 2651A, then the minimum usable / achievable pulse width is much slower. You can look at the settling time of the 2657A in the specs to get an idea of pulse width capability. You can expect a good 3000V pulse in about 15ms and a good 500V pulse in about 2ms.
