CV measurement (Cmeas4284) with Keithley 4200 SCS

Post by Ed Kim » September 16th, 2020, 7:25 am

I'm using Keithley 4200 SCS for CV measurement with Agilent E4980A.
I used their Cmeas4284 in HP4284ulib user library.
When I looked at the scope, I see the bias voltage for capacitance measurement.
But I also see another oscillating signal (~3Vp-t-p, 1KHz, ~1.5s duration) before the CV emasurement.
Does anyone know why I see this?
One possibility is, it could be to cancel any residual offset capacitance.
Please let me know if you have an explanation on this.
Thanks.
