Make sure you have your projects and data and any custom UTM backed up to thumb drive, etc.
Try running the “Initialize New User” from the start menu in Keithley program group.
If still a problem:
You could try reinstalling version 8.2 of KTEI software. Do you have the CD media still?
A little more aggressive would be to press F11 during the boot up process to invoke Acronis restore. After about year 2005, 4200-SCS would have as-shipped image and Acronis software.

Kite is the only file that starts on "Startup".
I tried the “Initialize New User” option. I created a user with Administrative type, but when I try to start Kite, I get this message:
"You do not have access to modify KITE project default. The project will be loaded in READ-ONLY mode.
The "Out of memory" error still occurs. Can I delete the project default?
We can't find the installation CD, is there a download available?
I found this software download on the Tektronix website:

It is the correct version, but I'm not convinced it would work on the Keithley system. I filled out the download form, and I am waiting for access.
I'm hoping we don't have to use the Acronis restore option, but we will if nothing else works.
