The cables which connect the 4225-PMU to 4225-RPMs are the same as HDMI cables. However, they do not carry video signals and these connections are not HDMI or DVI.
The cables which allow a remote connection between 4200-SMUs or 4210-SMUs and 4200-PA preamplifiers are similar to XVGA cables, but again these do not carry video signals and are not HDMI or DVI. I don't see any way an HDMI or DVI monitor could help the operation of the 4200-SCS.
What is the issue you are having with the 4200-SCS?
