User module and UTM for sourcing V through Kpulse and measure I by SMU

Post by SinghAkanksha » March 29th, 2017, 11:21 am

We have 4200 SCS Characterisation system KTE version 7.2. I want to source the voltage (desired waveform) through the KPulse into DUT and measure the resulting current using a current meter (one of the SMU). We have the idea that user module and UTM needs to be written. Can you please help to realise it. Is there any other way to do it??

I don't know if version 7.2 of KTE has the example UTM for ChargePump, but that would be a very suitable starting point for you.

Keep in mind that the SMU is a precision measuring instrument and really has no feature to time synchronize it's measurement with the Pulse timing.

ChargePump example is simply having the SMU measure asynchronously from the repetitive pulsing at the gate of a transistor. In effect it measures an average current induced by the pulses.

This approach may or may not have applicability for your particular application.
