Possible Current Compliance on 4200-SCS w/ 4224-RPM ?

I would like to know if is there a possibility to use current compliance with setup 4200-SCS + 2x 4224-RPM (e.g. for pulse measurements) and if so, how can be this set. We haven't figured out. Thank you!

Yes, it is possible for the RPM to apply a current limiting compliance.

To access this feature, you will need to make use of a UTM that is calling the Set_RPM_ICompliance function.

First step is to characterize the compliance limiting of each RPM. A SMU is connected to the output of the RPM for this step. There is a User Library and module for performance of this step.
User Library: RPM_ILimit_Control
User Module: Do_RPM_ILimit_Cal

Read the test description carefully for how to connect the SMU during this step of the process.

Once the characterization is done, then other UTMs can be used to apply voltage pulses with a programmed current limit. For an example of this, see the following:
User Library: PMU_PCRAM_ulib
User Module: pram_pulse_ilimit

Dear Andrea,

thank you for your reply. Unfortunately we don't have any SMU module, only one PMU + 2x RPM. If I understand correctly, it's not possible to use current compliance without an SMU.

The 4225-RPM current compliance settings are from about 10uA to 10mA.
