I have an external computer with ACS to control an SCS4200. I can't use interactive test modules. Is there a posibility to use ITMs on the external computer? Maybe there is something I need to copy from the SCS?
the release notes state that ACS 'should' run on the 4200-SCS, but:
you can try (not recommended as you might run into limitations) to
- in KCON select Ethernet in KXCI settings
- start KXCI on your 4200-SCS
- in ACS tools - preferences - misc - 4200 settings enter the IP address of your 4200-SCS
- make a new hardware scan in ACS
- save and restart ACS.
thanks for the answer. But I have no problem "remoting" the SCS-4200 with the PC. The ACS Software on the pc finds the Hardware of the SCS-4200.
The problem is that I cannot generate ITM's in ACS on the external PC (in contrast to CTM's, PTM's, etc.). I already reinstalled ACS, but the problem remains. When I right-click on a Device in the test tree, it looks like the attachment.
PS: KITE is also installed on the PC and with KITE there is no problem using Interactive Test Modules.

ACS on a laptop/desktop for a Model 4200-SCS only
ITMs can be used for this case. They are only used to control the Model 4200-SCS using an ethernet
cable and KXCI interface.
PTMs can be used for CV testing.
Configure KXCI for Ethernet. What version of ACS are you using?
