Hi Ilya,

It appears that the DMM7510 is taking the measurements, but is timing out, and is unable to respond in the time that KickStart expects a response. I am not certain if this is due to an issue with the instrument or the software. I am reporting this issue to the engineering team. I do note that reducing the sample count does appear to have some benefit when retrieving readings. Is it possible that you can reduce your sample count? For example, can you try 3 million readings? Can you share a bit more about your application? If you'd like to reach me directly, please send a private message through the forum or email [email protected].

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

I am very glad that you responded. I have already started to think that the forum is dead: (

Thank! It works like this :)

I wanted to see the signal as an oscilloscope in real time. I thought the program and the device allow it. Just as I can watch it on the instrument itself. After all, 1MS / s * 18 bits = 18 Mbit, which is much less than 100 Mbit LAN.

However, I see that reading the buffer is very slow: (
Watch 18bit is much nicer on a large monitor and not on a small built-in screen.

Hi Ilya,

Yes, reading the buffer is slow. We are investigating what optimizations that we need to make on the instrument and in the software to improve this issue. I will also capture this as a defect issue. When we submit defects, we like to capture customer information. Would you please send your company or university name to [email protected]?

Thanks,

Jennifer

Thank you :) Glad to hear me.

Can I call your specialist to the topic on the 7510 device itself. Otherwise I feel very lonely there with my questions :)
