2520 Detector Capacitance

Post by PeterH » August 10th, 2011, 3:34 am

What is the maximum allowed phodiode capacitance? I would like to use the minimum pulse width of 0.5us. I could not see a spec for this in the user manual. Thankyou.

There is no spec on the capacitance.
It is usually not a big deal.
For voltage pulsing the RC is key for rise time, overshoot, and settling. However for current pulsing RL is key.
So, capacitance has an effect, but it is secondary for the pulse shape performance.
