2260B Issue using CC output mode

Post by kbutler30 » June 3rd, 2021, 8:13 am

I'm trying to use the CC mode to heat a stage connected to the power supply by applying a current to it. The set voltage is 28 V, as soon as I hit the "Output" button to switch to CC mode, the voltage instantly steps up to the 28 V set voltage with 0.01 A of current applied, and the crossover point is reached. The supply then switches to CV mode.

Before it reaches the 28V, it displays "U56 on". I have yet to figure out what that means.

Could this be an issue with another setting on the power supply? I've been checking and rechecking my connections from the power supply to the heater stage I'm using but I haven't found an issue on that end yet. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Let me make sure I understand: are you trying to config the power supply to deliver 10mA of constant current with a voltage compliance of 28V?
Which exact model of 2260B do you have?
