stability of 6221 in high speed measurement
stability of 6221 in high speed measurement
I need a stable current source for high speed resistance measurement.
A general description of the usage is: a piece of metal vibrates on the surface of another metal plate, the vibration frequency is ~60 kHz and the contact region is very small (1200 µm X 500 µm). During the vibration period (~50 ms), the electrical resistance of the contact region will change. One of our goal is to measure the resistance changes.
So my question is: will the model 6221 be fast enough to provide a constant current during the 50 ms regarding that the vibration frequency is so high? If not, do you have other product options?
Thanks!

Re: stability of 6221 in high speed measurement
This is a good question.
I think the only way to get the definitive answer is with a demo unit and you try it yourself to see if it can handle this application.
I would connect the local demo pool or local sales engineer in Europe to obtain a demo and give it a try.
