shorting channels

Post by kubley » August 6th, 2012, 11:43 am

I have a 7001 with a 7158 card. I an attached cable was shorted and caused the switch channel to become unusable. Is there a fix for this or do I need to send it in for repair.
Thanks
Tom

The Model 7158 is a current scanner. This means, that from the factory the channels are shorted. HI to LO on each channel is shorted.
I am not sure what you mean be "unusable".
If the channels are damaged and cannot be used then yes, send it in for service.
Call 800-552-1115 ext 8025.
