Minimum Switching Current with 7174A

Post by mfennell » August 11th, 2011, 10:34 am

We are considering using a 7174A Low Current Matrix Card to switch low level signals to a 2635A Sourcemeter. The voltage levels are -1V to +1V and currents range from 10pA to 10nA.

What is the minimum current that can be switched using the 7174A?

What relay component is actually used on the board? I would like to directly look at the manufacturer's specification for the relay.

Thanks!

I'm unable to disclose what relays we use on the 7174A. However, the offset current specification is 100fA max, 10fA typical (with 0V applied to inputs and outputs).

The data sheet including some specifications is available here: http://www.keithley.com/support/data?asset=433
