Backplane Extender Board in Keithley 7002

Post by wen654789321 » August 7th, 2013, 9:36 am

Hi, Dear Keithley Engineers,

I am using the Keithley 7002 switch system with 7011-S switch cards.
In My Application, I am trying to isolate all 10 slots of 7002.
I removed all the Backplane Jumpers (12 in total) on the Backplane Extender Board and this way only isolate slot 1~5 from slot 6-10.
The HI, LO, Guard of 1-5 slots are still connected to each other, so as 6-10 slots.

I was wondering if I can just remove the backplane extender board (the one with 12 jumpers on it), that means disconnect it so that I can have all isolated 10 slots.
For me seems like the backplane extender board is only for the connection between each row according to the drawing.

Will that cause any problem? Please advise, thank you.

Robert

There are jumpers on the 7011-S cards that isolate it from the backplane.
They are on the relay card. They are close to the connector to fits into the backplane.
Look at page 3-4 of the manual at this link.
That will show you the backplane jumpers.
